Gave it a one star solely for the fact that it is no longer there. After arriving I called the number and was told they had closed the branch. They are still listed as open and operational on Google.

We moved from Hawaii to Las Vegas and everything went smoothly. Communication great, delivery fast and efficient. The delivery guys were awesome. My one complaint is they told us that they would pick up our empty boxes when we’re done moving in. They said just give us a call and we’ll pick ‘‘em up in a couple of days. So we called when we were done and was told that they were too busy to pick up. They said it would be quicker if we put it out in our bulk trash. Moving from Hawaii isn’t cheap and I expected that part of the service to not be a problem. I am thankful for everything moving so effortlessly and disappointed about the difficulty of removing the empty boxes.

They dropped our household goods in a trailer on time the day of delivery. The first crew of four that were sent out to unload us, were rude, uncooperative, didn't want to put things where I needed/wanted them. I tried to get them under control but they became unresponsive and walked off of the job leaving us stranded. This particular group was a subcontractor of Slater, not their personnel. I called our government moving representative and within 15 minutes Slater's logistics coordinator called and assured us that another crew would be there within the hour to complete the job. The next crew consisting of seven arrived within the time promised, were professional, listed to my concerns on how things needed to be done and then went to work. Within 5 hours they had 17,500 lbs of household goods unloaded, where it needed to be, and all furniture assembled...they were AMAZING!!! Slater moved our four-bedroom, overstuffed household from California to Utah in March 2021. Our excellent driver, Larry, works directly for Slater; the crews on either end in any interstate move are temporary workers supervised by the driver. Due to emergency surgery and a weeklong hospital stay just before our move, we hadn't completed our packing as expected, but Larry understood the situation and stepped up with his loading crew to help us finish the packing (which I recognized in a well-deserved gratuity). I wasn't yet recovered enough to drive one of our two cars to Utah myself, so we planned to leave it at Ontario airport and have me fly back to get it in a week. Larry offered to make room on the truck for my car, and he didn't charge us for the weight of the car. That kind of service is above and beyond the call. Bottom line, Slater took care of us and did a great job for us.

Over the years I've had many international and stateside moves, both via the military and civilian life. Always a nerve wracking time, trusting others with your life belongings. Slater delivered my property driving several hours to reach me, uncrated, unpacked boxes and hauled 90% of the boxes and wrappings away. This was by far the smoothest experience I've had. The crew was thoughtful, efficient, polite, and very aware they were handling my dearest treasures. I was prepared to "supervise" while they worked. After 30 minutes it was obvious this was not needed. Hopefully this is my retirement spot and another move is not needed. If it is, Slater out of St. George, Utah is my company.

We've moved many times in our married life, but this moving experience was the best. Charles and his crew were outstanding! They wrapped all of our furniture pieces and took great care as they were moving them. Charles was responsive whenever we contacted him to make sure everything was on track for moving day. When the day arrived they were here and went to work.The whole crew was competent and polite, even when I asked stupid questions. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Slater Moving and Storage to anyone moving - especially long distances.

Antonio, Josh, Micah, Armando and Lauren were awesome. First move in 35 years and they made it so much easier. Nice friendly professional hard working crew. We were so happy to have them. If you are planning a move I would definateley recommend.

Great service!!! My packers Mondo and Loren were excellent!!! Fast, efficient and pleasant ! Same with my movers Joseph,Shiloh, and Josh. Excellent movers!! Respectful willing to hear my needs!!! All of them were five star workers. I hope to have them unload my household goods at my new home. New Mexico.

This is one of the worst moving companies (right behind Atlas Van Lines), together they managed to destroy so much of my stuff in the move from St. George, UT to Peoria, AZ! Even precious irreplaceable items that had belonged to my Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. There was more than $2000 worth of damage, plus a couple of items missing, and all I got was $432! Slater overcharged me from what the quote said and what they charged! Will NEVER use or refer this company to anyone again! Find a better company if you have to hire movers!
