“The Modern Pet is located in downtown historic district with plenty of parking available. This pet store has grooming available, a dog wash (2 stations) and sells plenty of treats, food, clothing, leashes, etc that you would need for your pet. While walking the area with my little girl dog and husband, we decided to make a stop in this afternoon. We were greeted by an employee behind the counter when we walked in and browsed the store. Usually when we visit pet stores, we let our little girl pick out what she wants in the loose treat section, which is where you would find pig ears, jerky, bully sticks, etc. After walking in this section and sniffing everything, she ended up picking this strip of beef jerky, which cost $3.99 (prior to tax). We ended up making small talk with an employee (whom I suspect could be either a manager or even the owner) who told us she is from California but moved out to St. George about 5 year ago. While we were talking to her, our little girl just ate up all of her treat that she picked (lol) and surprisingly finished it all (she definitely did not waste any time on her meaty snack. A true little dog foodie). Customer service was very friendly and we enjoyed our shopping trip. If I lived in this area, most likely I would be a regular.”
