How good can chicken strip from a gas station be? Apparently, very good! Try Ernies sauce too.

This Sinclairs seems to have the best price in all of St George, given it's unusual proximity to the freeway (though if you are coming off the freeway you do need to make a U turn to get into the station). The snack shop isn't quite as nice but its fully stocked and repair shops are all within a block. All standard fuel grades are here.

Standard little gas station and convenience store, nothing special to report on that end. The big deal here is the hot food, they have a nice little $3 meal that gives you two decent-size chicken strips, a potato log (basically a huge potato wedge) and a drink for that price. It's a nice little semi-light lunch for cheap, probably better if you're more thirsty than hungry.

We went to the Ernie's in Hurricane and were very happy with our hot, moist lightly breaded chicken tenders. So disappointed with the chicken tenders at the St. George location. The tenders were thick with breading and had to crack it open to get the dried out chicken inside.

I love the fried chicken here. I like that they do everything a la carte too.The food is tasty it's quick easy to go. We are from out of town and came here twice because we thought it was that good. And if you call ahead of time to make the chicken fresh for you.

This place has awesome fried chicken and potato wedges for a great price. It rivals the fried chicken I've had in New Orleans. Super moist and perfectly cooked every time. We stop here every trip in and out of Zion. Make sure to get extra fry sauce for dipping!!!

I travel to St George 4 times a year, give or take. I had exclusively used Hertz until about 2 years ago when I had an issue with Shankar, the counter agent. I tried again this past week....that was a mistake. For what it's worth, I'm a Hertz Gold 5 star member -- for years and years. When I picked up the car and went to look at it, there was no working Bluetooth, no Sirius availability, no car upgrade as I usually get, and the car was filthy inside. Long story short - Shankar was unwilling to do anything; rude and surly. As I left the counter to go the parking lot, he followed me out of the building yelling at me. He's a big guy and I'm a small woman, traveling solo. I can handle myself, but who needs that grief? The car was so dirty that I cleaned the windows, the car surfaces inside, and vacuumed the floors and the seats. When I returned the car, they charged me a $75 cleaning fee ... really? You didn't clean the car from the previous renter, and now you're charging me? There are at least four other rental car agencies at SGU ... strongly suggest using one of them.

On my our way to antelope canyon and horseshoe our tour group stopped here for restroom break and stretch our legs. Pleasantly surprised that everyone was very polite and friendly. The restrooms were super clean! Nice little convenience store.

This station is a really nice place to stop, especially for hot food and fountain drinks that are the best.

Shankar, the Indian guy was wonderful! He was really funny, didn't try to sell me all the crap they always do and even upgraded for free. It looks like another reviewer didn't realize that at small airports like these, sometimes you have to wait 15 to 20 minutes because there's only one person working and guess what, they get breaks too. Someone complained they don't pick you up!? It's at an airport- of course not! Amazing experience and the best price at the SGU airport this weekend. 100% happy! Edit: Also it breaks my heart that people say learn to speak English when someone has an accent. Maybe if you're a racist mofo who has never been exposed to immigration, you don't want to understand them. Immigrants work hard to make a life and better their children's lives- something all of our ancestors have done. The Indian man spoke perfect English but it's easy to say you didn't understand when you're a racist bigot I suppose. Learn to be NICE- or don't expect the same from people working hard. Also it seems like there's no pleasing this Bryan A guy. He is atypical of Yelp - literally all his reviews are 1 star?!? He hates his internet companies, his landlord and his rental car places. Maybe it's you. Just saying.

Don't deal with this company at this location. Hertz corporate says that they deliver and pick up. Yeah... not so much. The Indian man that answered was almost impossible to understand and less than helpful. I was told to give them 2 hours beforehand as the reservation was created. He chastised me for not giving a 48 hour notice, then proceeded to tell me he did not know if there was a car available. Here is a novel service idea-- check to see if a car is available prior to chastising a customer that was told the wrong policy. OR don't ever chastise the customer. Just go somewhere else. Save money, headaches and maybe even get someone that speaks English.

Honestly driving through this part of Utah on a road trip you kind of have a few options. The one that everyone seems to choose is Chick-Fil-A, but if you and your stomach can stick out the last bit of time to make it here, you'll be so happy. It's a little gas station right off the main road in Hurricane and it's honestly the best thing for a road trip pit stop. One chicken strip from here is the meatiness of two or three from Canes and Chick-fil-A aNd has the same crispy deliciousness. The Ernie's sauce is an awesome barbecue with a kick. Definitely worth stopping here for some good food and nice people!
