Unfortunately THEY canceled my appointment.

I had a stuffy nose (no fever, no cough) that I had asked the front desk if they were okay with me coming in and they said yes. when the massage therapist (Weston) took me back, and I told him I had a stuffy nose he told me he had to cancel me and abruptly left me in the room. Didn’t offer to reschedule, didn’t say “here follow me” or anything just left me and said he was going to the front desk and canceling me. I had to awkwardly follow him out of the door and when I walked past the front desk they didn’t say a word to me. I guess I shouldn’t have shown up with a stuffy nose, but I would never go anywhere with a fever or serious illness that could get people sick- and i was treated like I had the plague. I felt really stupid and cried in my car and was really sad. I guess it’s one thing to not feel comfortable massaging someone with a cold, but to just walk out with no guidance and ignore them? Obviously I can’t go back because I’m gross and embarrassed . Anyways. It was rude. It sucked.

Great staff, amazing massage. I’ve been to lots of places (including ME’s in Colorado) and the massage was awesome. This is from the dude with massive knots in his shoulders that hurt 24/7.The low reviews you are reading are from the Karen’s who don’t read contracts. “Oh if I sign up for the program, the massage is cheaper” ..well Karen the contract is right there and tells you how hard it is to get out of it (it is).So use your reading abilities and make an informed decision vs bashing the hardworking staff here, when you realize that the “cheaper massage” includes a monthly membership that is hard to leave. Will come back and will continue to read the paperwork I choose to sign or not sign. Again the massage was great, staff were lovely, pricing was exactly what I signed up for. Don’t believe the whiny reviews, those are the same people holding up traffic.

First let me start off by saying when working with Coleen and absolute 5 star service. Bed side rapport communication manners phenomenal! I went in last Saturday 11/18/2023 and she was unavailable so I got a massage from another person and it was not great. Mentioned multiple times to please ease up on the pressure and it didn't feel like that was being done. The next day I felt so much soreness and pain in the areas they worked and just chocked it up to it had been a while. Ended up calling out of work the next day to give it a bit longer to rest and even today here at work I'm feeling the pain. I called in and got sent to a call center (I think, I'm not sure) and they reached out to the clinic who didn't take my call but thanked me for my feedback. That was it, no attempt at resolution. Not too sure what else I can do but I hope this review helps future goers.

The only thing positive about this place is the massage therapists themselves. The office itself is quite unimpressive in every way possible, from location to decor/ambiance. Don't get wrangled into their contract for services. You won't receive a hard copy of your contract or a copy by email. You're given minutes while standing in a lobby to scroll through an IPAD, which their employee holds in their hand the entire time. This in their mind gives you adequate time for decision making concerning a year long contract. You will not be able to get out of the contract unless you move 25 miles away or have a doctor's note stating massage isn't recommended. There's no point to contact corporate, as you're simply told only the franchise has anything to do with their contracts. Corporate has nothing to do with the franchise itself. Then what is the point of a corporate office? They only want your money. I advise you to give your business to any other massage company. Out of all the employees (franchise and corporate) I've dealt with, literally only one of them was not condescending in their way of speaking with me. It's also highly concering that only 3 out of the last 10 reviews ARE POSITIVE. You'd think a business owner would want to solve complaints/concerns. Instead, it seems they only have time to respond (with no solution) to Google reviews. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

DO NOT COME HERE! The manager is completely unreasonable and charges you extra for services. I got a massage here and switched my upgrade however the front desk didn't tell me there was an extra $20 charge for the upgrade so when they showed me the total I was surprised and I said if they told me the cost of the upgrade I wouldn't have gotten it. The front desk person said that she'll take care of it. Then I get a phone call from the manager, Sydney, and she apologized and kept saying that it was their mistake but refused to refund me. It was their mistake as a company however the manager forced a customer to pay for her employees mistake. This is bad business and the manager is completely out of line. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! Choose a different location. Or a different massage place altogether.

Based on many experiences in the reviews I read, I would not have chosen to go to Massage Envy. I didn't like that I was forced to include a credit card before I could actually confirm an appointment and didn't ask if I was using a gift card, which should have voided this need. I chose to have a massage here because I received a gift certificate. It took me a couple days to choose between the 2 locations, based on the reviews, and few spoke of the therapist, which made it more difficult. I chose Pineview even though it was further away. It also didn't help that Massage Envy doesn't list their therapists on their site with focus experiences, etc. The check in was simple and thorough, and the waiting room was relaxing and comfortable. I chose Cristina based on a review and I was very pleased. I had a full body with firm pressure and deep tissue focus. I shared a couple areas I wanted attention on. She was inviting when I met her, and the time to share what I was needing today was brief. She was great in her communication and attentive in all the areas I wanted focus on. Her technique was excellent and she utilized the time I paid, minus the 5 minutes on the front and backend, as was communicated upfront. I didn't have the same experience, as many have shared, on a sub-standard massage, not utilizing the whole time paid for the massage, the pressure to sign a monthly plan and didn't have any billing irregularities. I would definitely see Cristina again. 5 stars for the actual massage experience.

As a loyal customer for six years in California and in Utah, my recent interaction with Massage Envy Pineville Plaza was disheartening. I made an appointment at 10:30 am for 3 pm. I called at 12 to confirm because of the website's information was unclear. Needing to modify the appointment led to resistance and an unjustified charge. I’m not sure why they have a manager, because Ashley was not able to make any sort of exceptions. While the therapists I have used are solid, the location's management is poor. The website's shortcomings and management’s inflexibility in addressing changes demonstrate a disregard for customer satisfaction. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this poorly managed establishment

This location is the worst Massage Envy I have ever been to. The manager Ashley is incredibly rude both in person and over the phone. Also, NEVER sign up for a membership with this company. Ashley will do everything thing in her power to not let you cancel. I have moved over 50 miles from a location and have had to send proof that I have moved. Ashley has ignored my email and stalled my cancelation. Now it’s been 5 days and my membership has been charged earlier than usual and I have no way to use it. This is ridiculous.

The lady at the front desk said signing up for the monthly membership would make the massages cheaper and that the membership could be cancelled at anytime but after attempting to cancel in February they continued to say they would cancel over messages and never did. Than they took out $130 from my account and when I called them to ask about the charge they said I signed a year long payment contract that was not able to be cancelled. Not only did they somehow manage to take money out of my account without knowing my new card since I never gave them my bank info. They now say I have to pay for the rest of the year. Either they lied to me about being able to cancel any time, or they have uneducated people working in their office. Regardless they have caused me financial strain for the rest of the year. I wanted to cancel because I am having health problems and couldn't continue. These people just take advantage of everyone, DO NOT become a monthly member with them.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received. Despite having booked and received confirmation for my appointment online, I was informed by the staff just an hour before my scheduled time that they had mistakenly given my slot to another person verbally. They admitted to realizing their error but chose to call me and cancel my appointment instead of apologizing to the other person. The staff was unapologetic and blamed me for using the online booking system, claiming they were on the phone with someone else when I must have booked. No compensation or remedial action was offered for their mistake.

I called to make an appointment… Was told that the place I have my membership ( Sugarhouse) is a certain price and here in St George it’s $5.00 more. I said to the receptionist “ That’s not fair” I was then rudely told that I didn’t “ need” to book an appointment with them. No! I most definitely did not! I canceled my appointment right then and there and will be canceling my membership.
