I’ve had to go back through and redo and fix work I’ve had done at Dixie four wheel drive. This (used relay) and very cheap non weather proof fuse block is just one example. I literally go out of my way now to go elsewhere for help. These parts were installed approximately 8 months ago and are just deteriorating because they are cheap and sub par. This is on a 5 year old vehicle not some weekend beater btw. Self tapping screws were used where a thoughtful quality attachment hardware would have been easy, didn’t even use stainless steel. $400+ on a $6.99 Autozone part ( I checked) and a $7.00 relay. Stuff like this…. ?. This terrible workmanship nearly left me stranded with no locker and no air compressor.
They also performed clearancing for me, it was not cheap. They used some cheap mild Steele that was poorly painted, not primed or treated which is just flaking off and rusting. They riveted the metal on after I specifically asked them not to. I specifically asked for it to be welded. They did not call me to say it could not welded. When I picked my 2019 Tacoma up.. I had no choice. Once you get work done… they literally couldn’t care less to talk to you again.
If I could do it all over again, I would go to Red Desert Offroad or just anywhere else. Red Desert Offroad fixed some of their terrible work and had excellent communication.

These pictures were taken after 1 mile of testing the new hydro assist that I paid Dixie 4x4 a lot of money to install. I was very disappointed to find that they did not check clearance before finishing the job. Cycling the suspension is a basic thing to do anytime you adjust any type of steering or suspension components. I was told that they didn’t do it because it costs more money. I asked why then did I never get a call giving me the option to do it and the response I got was because I seemed “ Low Budget”. This wasn’t the first comment from them discriminating based on their assumed social class.
I also asked them if this was acceptable work to them and I was told that it was fine and that all it did was scratch my stickers. You can tell the brand new parts I paid good money for are damaged way worse than just the stickers.
The only positive experience I had with these guys is that they quoted me $125/hr I verified that they knew I was providing my own parts, they verified that the rate was the same and even asked me which hydro kit I was bringing then after looking at the invoice they actually charged me more per hour than they quoted. I talked to them about it and they did refund the difference.
They did not however do anything to fix the clearance issue, they did not replace or cover the cost to replace the damaged parts, and I did have to go back and completely relocate the ram, and fab sole brakes for the ram that of course they don’t pay me their hourly rate to fix their issues.
Long story short. If you like go and blow with out checking fitment or clearance and poor after sale customer service use these guys. If you like good attention to detail and honest integrity after they get your money I would suggest a different shop.
I try not to be this person and I did try to give these guys the opportunity to correct the issue and make it right. As a small business owner myself I understand that mistakes happen and to me what makes or breaks a good review from a bad one is how the mistake is taken care of and if they own it or just throw it on the customer.
Unfortunately this was thrown on me. If anyone would like more info than I put here please reach out directly or reference my Instagram and Youtube posts.

I had a noise problem that they were able to help me diagnose, when other shops failed, they successfully pointed me in the right direction. Must be good mechanics, I'm back on the right track to fixing my own vehicle. They're generous and kind to offer their help when I personally don't bring them profits.

The bolt on my stabilizer clamp stripped out of the clamp. Stopped in and Tara got me a new clamp. Bryce saved me from trying to fix it in the parking lot and had it ready to go in 15 minutes (huge thanks and shout out to Bryce!). Thank you!

Came from out of town for Jeep Jamboree. Had some issues (rookie mistake) and was referred to Dixie. We all know, well most peeps, that being out of town and having issues can be worrisome. All the worries went out the window as soon as I walked in the door. The words “friendly” and “welcoming” don’t even come close to describing the atomosphere at Dixie. Went in, spoke with Jon and talked with him about my issues. Tony overheard and said “let’s go take a look.” Issue fixed with a handshake and a smile. Was expecting the worst, left with sense of relief. Little embarrassed on my part but… it is what it is. Thank you Dixie from an out of towner. You all are awesome!!!
