“I had the bad news that my transmission was out on my 2019 Ford Edge (with only 72K miles -- 0 stars for Ford on that one!). St George Transmission & Auto were quick to verify the diagnosis and give me a repair price. They didn't charge me to diagnose (the Ford dealership wanted close to $200 for same service) and they held my car for a couple of days while I figured out what to do next. “I’m sad they’ve been temporarily closed (to my understanding?) my dad was a professional mechanic with 40 years of experience when he professionally retired and retired from family vehicle maintenance. I tried this shop and I instantly felt like I could trust them. Other shops I had tried through the years, I’d go in for an oil change to see how I felt and leave with a list of $5,000 worth of maintenance and repairs I needed. I went to K&A with some work I thought I needed and they actually talked me out of some of it, telling me it was something I needed done eventually but it really wasn’t a rush. When my dad approves of them I knew I could rely on them. If they’re ever back in the business I will continue to be a loyal customer. I know they won’t up sell me on things I don’t need, so I feel confident that I’m investing in a true necessity by spending whatever amount they recommend on a repair or maintenance. I know my vehicle is older and has some mileage so I know it needs some work and I don’t mind the investment into its long term life, but I want to know I’m not just throwing money away. I’ve since recommended multiple people to them who all had similar experiences where they just felt like the recommendations made sense, were not unnecessary upselling, and were priced fairy.”

I was taken in immediately, and on top of installing the steering pump I provided, they also offered to install the water pump and pulleys I had as well. They really went above and beyond for me. As an Australian I didn't know where to go, but fortunately I found Desert Thunder who organised for the pads to be delivered there, even though they only deal with Harleys. Tim refused my offer of payment for his effort. He is a credit to the business community and the biker brotherhood.We extended our stay for an extra 5 days to spend more time in St George as a result.”

“Tyler and his mom, dad and all the workers I met in this shop are all very ethical, honest, fair and really easy and nice to deal with. I have now had several repair jobs done with them on two different old cars now and I have never had the feeling they were not trying their best to help me get the cars fixed correctly and do what they can to keep within my budget constraints. they get work done in a timely manner and within cost estimates. I think aside from having good moral character, they are really good mechanics as they like what they do. Tyler really likes cars, (especially the vintage American cars) just like everyone else in this shop. So I believe if you truly like what you do, your going to be good at it. So that combined with honesty and integrity, you can't go wrong with Somerville. They are really good people.”

“Sometimes it's just as good to be told what you don't need as it is to be told what you do need. We reached out to James for a second opinion after being told by another mechanic that we needed an entire new RV refrigerator...~$5K all-in. In a short amount to time James determined that our fridge cooling unit was not bad as diagnosed by the first mechanic. He felt certain that several factors were contributing to our fridge not getting as cold as it should. One, it was very hot in UT the week we were there simply causing our fridge to work harder than normal. Two, our thermomister was not in the optimal position within our refrigerator. Took him about 15 seconds to correct. Finally, he suggested we add a second 12V cooling fan to help dissipate the warm air. He was quite certain that our fridge/freezer would work fine as we continued our trip North into cooler temps. None of these points were made by the first mechanic who literally spent three minutes determining that we needed a completely new fridge.Turns out James was completely right. Our fridge is working perfect even without the second fan. James was professional, competent and very friendly. And he is a veteran for those of us who like supporting veteran-owned businesses. I would recommend him to any fellow RVer transiting through or home-based in UT and in-need to help. And of course to any RVer home-based in UT.”

“I stopped by Sunrise during a roadtrip through the area. Ran over a rock on a Saturday, leading to a small bulge in the tire wall, but couldn't get it in until Monday (I was nowhere near a tire shop that Saturday, and Sunrise was closed Sundays). Monday happened to be the day I was driving back to California, so I was in a bit of a rush when I stopped in Monday morning. A young woman (Kenna?) helped me out. I was primarily concerned with my tire's condition and whether it needed replacing, and she came out to give an assessment. She then had her boss (didn't catch his name) give a second opinion, and they agreed that the damage warranted replacement ASAP -- I had a six-hour drive to California ahead of me, and it wouldn't be safe with a tire that could potentially blow out.They didn't have my exact tire in stock, but it was available across town. The initial recommendation was to come back in a few hours when they'd be ready, but I expressed that I was in a bit of a hurry (very unfortunate timing!). Kenna offered to personally drive over and pick up the tire they needed. I appreciated that so much! She left immediately, came back with it, and they got it installed.The pricing was pretty fair. It was a good experience, especially with their willingness to speed up the process for my situation. Thanks y'all.”
