From South Salt Lake Community Center
The city’s most recognizable building was designed by C.S. McDonald in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. The South Salt Lake Community Center plays host to some of South Salt Lake’s most important activities, clubs, and events. The building was an elementary school for over 60 years, before becoming the heart of South Salt Lake. It includes an auditorium, gym, meeting rooms, dance room, and an outdoor courtyard, all of which are available for rent.
This center includes the Community Opportunity Center ("The Co-Op"), Columbus Senior Center, SSL Recreation, Best Buy Teen Tech Center and the Hser Ner Moo Promise SSL Program.
