So my aunt lost the title to her van dude made us lose a whole of work because he wouldn't want to print out the duplicate application title on his computer fill it out and sign the lien release he kept telling us to go to the dmv just to get the same paper he refuse to print out of his computer and sign. Horrible service.

The owner was VERY difficult to understand. Everyone speaks Spanish there. We put a deposit on a car, and he refused to give us back the $200 after we told him we couldn't afford the purchase price of his vehicle. There was definitely a misunderstanding/miscommunication, and they were not very nice people when we came back for the deposit. I feel ripped off :(

Was calling about a Jeep they advertised, acted like it was an inconvenience. Went and drove the Jeep, was told it had never been wrecked. had a clear title and Carfax, but wouldn't show us. It looked nice but had a hard pull when you let go of the steering wheel. Came home and checked Carfax. Seems it had been totaled in Colorado brought to Utah and retitled here. Beware!

I had an amazing experience purchasing a used vehicle today with imperial auto sales. Both Mike and Max made it so easy when purchasing my new 2021 Subaru outback I got an awesome deal on my new car.

This place is a scam. The salesman I talked to lied about how much my car was worth but I did my research before going. I would recommend never going to them

Bought a salvaged title vehicle here 10 years ago. Car still runs fantastic and got it for a great price. Very little maintenance has been needed.

I purchased a car from them today. I will repost if something goes wrong here in the next while, but I did my due diligence when checking out the car. I looked the VIN number up online and found the salvage yard photos of the damage on the vehicle. I took those photos to auto body shops to get their opinions on the severity and degree of repairs needed. I test drove the car for hours!! Freeway speeds, low speed, turing over bumps, you name it I did it to test out everything. I then took it to an auto body shop (I would recommend Schmidt Body and Paint in SLC), they were AWESOME to let me know what still needed to be repaired structurally and how well the repairs had been done. I then took the car to Mike Palmer Automotive where they looked over everything mechanically, structurally, electronically, alignment, wheel bearings, etc. After all was said and done, I spent hours doing research and making sure this was not going to be a mistake based on the previous reviews I had read. I was SUPER nervous buying a car from this place. But, I think everything turned out ok. Salesman was nice. I worked with two actually. The first one I worked with was...let's just say not super friendly when anything wrong about a car was brought up. The second guy, I actually ended up doing the paper work with, was nice and helpful.

Didnt even make it to the dealership. Had my eye on a vehical that almost seemed too good to be true, low milage, great price, and best of all clean title. After looking at these reviews i got suspicious and paid for carfax and indeed the vehical was in a total loss collision and should have been listed as a rebuilt title. Just bait and switch buisness practice.

This place is not at all flashy. No free popcorn, no sodas, just great service. Pretty much just dirt floors and cars. Make sure you inspect the car 100% throughout Including under carriage. They do get damaged cars from Hertz and other rental car companies so look it over. If it is minor damages it should not affect the mechanical at all. Check ALL the electronics.make certain everything works, heat, ac, radio, airbags ect. We purchased a 2018 at a great price. There was rear damage but the repair job was stellar. We saved about $3000-$4000 below dealer price without a doubt. Wear old cloths so you can crawl under the car to inspect. Bring a flashlight

If this gave me an option to rate "0" stars, I would. I am not the kind of person to write bad reviews because I usually give the benefit of the doubt to others. But this is a case where a bad review is warranted. BUYER BEWARE. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE AND WE WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN. My college-aged son used his hard-earned money to buy a car here and the next day it started making noises. We had our mechanic look at it and he said the transmission needed to be replaced. Supposedly the transmission was under warranty. We took the car back the next day and Mike had his mechanic looked at it and said it was fine and wouldn't give us back our money or get us a new transmission. In the meantime we took it to another mechanic (AAMCO) and they confirmed that the transmission is bad. We called Mike again and he finally said he would get us a transmission. It's been over 2 months and we keep calling and he either doesn't answer or he gives us a run-around that he hasn't found a transmission yet. AAMCO can get us a remanufactured transmission, so I know it's not a matter of not being able to find a transmission. He just doesn't want to pay for it. In the meantime, the check engine light and the maintenance light have come on and Mike says the car is fine to drive until he can find a transmission and won't get us a rental while we're waiting. (Every time we actually get to talk to him, he says it will be another couple of weeks.) My son is in college and working and his hard-earned money was supposed to get him a "reliable" car to help him get back and forth from work to school. Every penny counts for him. He pays for his own housing, tuition, and everything. We can't help him much with money because my husband has leukemia and hasn't been able to go back to work full-time since June. Our son used all his money to buy this car and had to put more money into it and can't pay his tuition in January. All 3 of us have tried contacting Mike multiple times and are frustrated for our son. SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM IMPERIAL AUTO.
