Vivint is a scam. RUN AWAY!When I bought the service I was promised I could cancel at any time and return the equipment. They forced me to pay $3000 dollars to buy the equipment or they wouldn't cancel the service. I paid for the equipment immediately and canceled the service in December. It took many repeated phone calls and many times of being lied to to get the service finally canceled. I had sold my house and they continued to charge me for months afterwards.I've never had a worse experience with a company.

Brand new system rarely works customer service sucks. Cameras go offline must do a reboot daily. System has a huge delay sometimes 30 seconds later it'll tell me someone rang the doorbell or opened a door or window. Can't get a tech to come out and check it out.

Trying to cancel my contract and getting nothing but the run-around. Sold the house that has the service and they want to charge me $600 to cancel. Lost a customer for good!

Absolutely the WORST provider. They will NOT work with you for payment options. Customer service representatives are slow and have no knowledge of what they are doing. Absolutely hate Vivint. -1000/10 recommend.

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who waited months for them to actually cancel my service. It took over 2 months and 8 phone calls and them charging me two cycles before they cancelled my service. Absolutely ridiculous and I would NEVER RECCOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE

Don't go through Vivint. They lock you into a 5 year contract that is impossible to get out of even if the equipment is paid off. The monthly recurring charge is for their "monitoring services" which we never even used, all we used was the doorbell camera because their "monitoring services" SUCK and we had the fire dept at our house every week due to their equipment causing false alarms. My 5 year contract was up last month I was told last month would be my last recurring draft since I was in the cancellation process and provided the 30 day cancellation letter that they request and what do you know, got charged again this month. Tried to go on their chat service and was told I have to call them, called them and got disconnected. Still haven't received my refund. Will never use them again.

Absolute scam. Their security system almost never works, and even when it does, it does NOTHING to alert authorities. Completely useless. And don't get me started on their A/C. It will refuse to work in the middle of the night and then trap me in a place with hot air. Any changes to the thermostat will freeze the system. And apartment management does NOTHING about it except point me to Vivint customer service, which is the most useless and disrespectful thing out there.

DO NOT USE VIVINT! I made the mistake and had to learn the hard way. When they came over originally to demo equipment (which is what I was told this appointment was) the technicians were under the impression they were there for an install. they seemed so confused and put out. I told them I was not interested in the service to which the technician had to “get approval” from someone with Vivint via phone that we weren’t getting their service. This rep had to talk to me and gave me some “lightning” deal to move forward. Like an idiot, I fell for it. Now I am stuck. OVER PRICED equipment that rarely works properly. I called to cancel and I can only cancel with equipment paid in full. I have to pay for THEIR faulty equipment. They said the only way they can help me without full payment of equipment would be by a letter stating I have filed for bankruptcy. HORRIBLE. NOT HELPFUL. DO NOT USE.

This is such a scam, the jersey shore guy on his scooter going door to door needs to learn some manners. My wife listened to his entire sales pitch with the strangest jokes with a screaming kid in the background, take a hint dude. After she was allowed to speak she told him no, and he had the audacity to say “we’ll I’ll just come back and talk with your husband”. Within 10 minutes of arriving home, sure enough, he showed back up with attitude and I sternly told him to get lost.They use all the icky tricks in the book to corner you rather than just giving you information and letting you make the choice. STEER CLEAR.

I got set up with a Vivint home security system 10 days ago. The equipment failed in less than 1 week. Customer service is garbage. Can't get them to come fix it. I should've known better. I had their internet a few years ago and it was horrible too. The salesman convinced me that they had new ownership and management top to bottom. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!

I sold my home 4 months ago and cancelled right away. They continue to bill me and I have called every month to get this cancelled. They tell me it's done and yet another draft just occurred on my account for the vivint monitoring. I don't owe on equipment or anything so this is not justified. Trying to get this resolved has been a waste of my time and so far is still not resolved.

DO NOT SIGN with Vivint. They will lock you into a 5 year contract and there is NO WAY OUT (unless you pay the entirety of the contract, regardless of if you have paid the equipment upfront or not). No salesman will tell you this and they’ll just push you to sign. IT IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. 0 stars if we could.

Price of equipment is horrible. Customer service isn't great. We had really bad financial issues. And all they offered was a $5 price reduction. Then called multiple times a day when I fell behind on payment. Go with a different setup. Will must likely do something like Ring or Simply Safe when contract ends.

These guys have the worst people answering phone calls and I am very patient but this is pissing me off to no extent.Had a co and smoke detector going off for no reason so they sent me a new one but with no return label, so after calling 3 times, talking to 3 different people saying a label would be e- mailed, still no label after dealing with this for about 2 months. Guess I'll storm into corporate and raise a little hell.Get your act together...

This company is very pushy and getting on my last good nerve. You do not come knocking on my door door and when I tell you I'm not interested keep trying to push your security system on me. I've had several friends tell me that you have knocked on their door well after 10 PM. You do that s*** at my house and you're going to be met with a very irate and well armed individual. You need to get your s*** together and stop harassing people. It is aainst the law when you ignore a sign that is posted And clearly reads "no solicitation".
