When I read some of the complaints, they just make me laugh. I went there today and talked to Jeff. He was very pleasant and extremely helpful. I really appreciate it very much. Thank you Jeff.

This place is a joke. They are irresponsible with sensitive documents and lose your paperwork. This has caused stress on my elderly mother and they have no empathy.

Made call to this local field office today. Only on hold for approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Representive was friendly, helpful and very informative. Received the answers to my questions quickly. Great interaction with this local representative. ?

Two days ago, I went to the social security office in Salt Lake proper, and this one is 100% better. I cannot believe how fast and easy it was to get what I needed at this location. For starters, they don't charge you to park there, so you save money. I got there just a couple of minutes before opening, checked in right at 9am, and was out of there by 9:09am. It was insane (in a good way), the person who was helping me was so kind and patient. It was just so efficient and pleasant.

Called in to see if they had received application we submitted at the hospital for our son that was born 5 months prior and still haven’t received his SSN card. The woman I spoke to was probably the rudest person I’ve ever spoken to in customer service anywhere. Super annoyed by my simple questions. Could not be bothered to even look up if they ever received paperwork or if a card had ever been issued. I was just told to go down to a local office and apply for one. Way to live up to the reputation that everything in government is inherently broken.

Everyone working here is very kind and helpful. There is a bit of a wait for walk-ins, so bring a book. I recommend printing out the application and filling it out in advance (if you can) so things go fast once you’re called in.
