My dog is scared of everything and deals with severe anxiety, so I'm not going to write this review from his perspective. If I did, it would be something like "going to the doctor is the worst...no stars." However, as the human with the ability to type on a keyboard, I'll write this for him. I've taken my dog here a few times and have been incredibly happy with each visit. The technicians are wonderful-they recognize that he's scared, so they sit on the floor and let him approach them. They speak softly, offer treats and go slow. I can't say how much I appreciate that. Dr. Olsen is wonderful as well-I was amazed at how much he was able to check out while he was just talking with me and my doggo. He was thorough in his examination and gave some wonderful suggestions and guidance for his wellness and treatment. I'm happy to continue to my dog's treatments and check ups here at A Gentle Vet.

I have been looking for a good vet for a long time. Dr Olson was great to deal with and the staff is great. Recommend this place to everyone. Thanks to my friend Denise for referring me

We just moved and needed a vet for our dogs that was in the area. I read some Google reviews on a few places in the area, and A Gentle Vet had hundreds of positive reviews, and for good reason! I called and made an appointment for vaccines and a wellness check and was able to get in within a couple of weeks. The staff was super friendly and quick to get us checked in and into a room when we arrived for our appointment. The vet was amazing! She went over all the concerns I had brought up and laid out all my options with a lot of detail and recommendations. She got me estimates on everything we discussed, and the pricing was reasonable. I appreciated that there was no pressure to do anything and that I was able to make the call on exactly what I wanted and was able to do. They really care about the animals. I am really satisfied and glad to have found a vet in the area that I feel comfortable going to.

Dr Olsen is amazing and so personable. He truly understands our worries for our animals. They have taken great care of our pets and when we had 2 unexpectedly pass they were sending out condolences cards with distinct messages about them. They take that time to get to know you and your pets, explain your options clearly, and always give you quotes for decisions. I feel 100% comfortable going there and am very grateful for everyone here.

On Tuesday my two dogs got into a toxic substance. I called A Gentle Vet and they were able to fit us in for care as soon as I could get there and I felt relieved. When I went to pick them up after treatment, I was shocked by the lack of empathy I received from the front desk. I have been taking my dogs here for years and can't believe what they said to me. I said, "I can't believe this. I was just trying to help my grandparents and now I'm here." The person at the desk replied, "Well, no good deed goes unpunished." One of our dogs ended up dying due to complications later that night. I called to get their medical records the next day and to let them know our dog had died. They didn't even share condolences or anything. They then sent me incomplete records so I had to call them again. I can't believe how unkind they were on one of the worst days of my life.

our corgi has been coming to Dr. Olson since he was 8 weeks old. A very gentle vet that Chipchip loves and is not afraid to visit. We make our annual visits and our dog has also been neutered here as well. Dr. Olson made many follow up calls to ensure our dog was ok. He's in good hands. Would definitely recommend.

Took my dog for anal glands and nails, she came out with 2-3 nails on each foot that hadn’t been touched. I had to cut them when I got home after I paid 61$. I called to let them know and they kept me on hold for over 15 mins and then said there was nothing they could do. I’m so disappointed with their dishonesty in charging me for a service that wasn’t done because I genuinely like the Veterinarian so much.

I have been here twice now for getting my kitten vaccinated. The entire staff has been beyond friendly and puts so much dedication in to truly make me and my kitten feel well taken care of.

I took my Aussie/border collie mix in a little over a month ago for a last minute foxtail removal and abcess drain. They really had no available appointments but worked her in out of the kindness of their hearts. They drained her abcess but could only find some of the foxtail. Dr Vetter took care of my dog, and when I came to pick her up, Dr Vetter was busy, so she gave me a call after to let me know that they weren't sure if they removed all of the foxtail.A couple weeks later, her paw swelled back up so we took her back in (another last minute work in) After finally getting the sucker out, I was incredibly surprised to find that the team had worked really hard to keep my 2nd bill as low as they could, less than half of what our first visit cost.I've worked with dogs, I know what kind of fresh hell foxtails are, and I was not upset that they were unable to remove it the first time just because they're so hard to deal with. For them to keep my bill low the second time was so kind. They also all know my dog by name and love to see her. Dr Vetter called me again after my second visit as well.Just a fantastic clinic with compassionate, intelligent staff.

If your dog needs more attention than an exam once a year, you should look elsewhere. I haven't had the greatest experiences with A Gentle Vet, unfortunately. I think this clinic has taken on more pets than they can serve.A couple months ago, my dog had her first exam appointment with this clinic. We waited 30-40 minutes for the Dr to see her after a vet tech did initial checks. At the time, this didn't stand out, I know things can get busy. However, my dog has a disease that regularly needs attention and quick action if she starts showing signs of distress. Twice now, she's needed some extra help getting through a stressful event. When I've communicated the situation to A Gentle Vet, communication with me and help were delayed to the point my dog's condition would worsen significantly before she got treatment. Last week my dog's stool was literally just blood and she was experiencing worrisome accompanying symptoms. When I sent a picture and called A Gentle Vet first thing (ironically my dog experienced this right as they opened), I was told my doctor was in appointments all day and they didn't know when she would get back to me. I didn't end up hearing back at all. But after an hour or so of watching my dog's condition worsen, hoping I'd hear any guidance from her doctor (I called again but couldn't get a hold of anyone), I called a different vet office and was told to bring her in immediately. It's disheartening to call your vet worried about your pup and hear that an extreme situation will not be reviewed with any urgency. I was very disappointed. I think it's neglectful to take on more clients than you can maintain, and that seems like what's happened here. I'm switching to someone who will give my dog the care she needs when she needs it.On the less important side of things, the building isn't in the greatest shape, the exam room chairs are small and uncomfortable. It's fun that there are dogs behind the front desk. Most of the staff are nice.

We’ve had good experiences here with our pup…both well dog check ups and sick visits. Dr. Olson also performed her ovariectomy and the recovery was very smooth.

A "Gentle" Vet has proved over and over again that they have a lack of transparency in billing and provision of services. They have some of the most difficult office staff and make no effort to help others.

A Gentle Vet was recommended to me by my dog trainer and I can see why! I had the best experience at A Gentle Vet! Everyone that I talked to on the phone was friendly and pleasant. My dog can be reactive towards other dogs and they allowed her the space she needed so that our visit could be calm and stress free.Dr. Vetter was very kind and respectful. They're up front with fees, don't push anything on you, and the environment is so welcoming. I waited months for them to accept new clients again and am so grateful we are now part of their fur family!
