Carlos recently trained our Golden Retriever puppy, Bronco, and we were blown away by the progress made over a short 10-day period! Bronco, like most Golden puppies, was a menace to society before working with Carlos. The chewing and mouthing was out of control and our words had no value. He came back a totally different dog. He listens to us, he knows commands, he walks well, he rarely nips unless we get him really riled up. I can’t say enough good things about Carlos and I loved that this was all positive reinforcement training. We’re looking forward to bringing Bronco back for the follow up course once he’s six months old. Thanks a million Carlos!!!

I was at my last ounce of patience with Sadie and I decided to get her enrolled in the doggy daycare program and my anxiety level went from a 9 to a 2 after the first day. I think the program was more for me than it was for Sadie. I would highly recommend Utah K9 training to anyone who wants to lower their anxiety level with their pup!

I got a 6 month old German Shepard that had not been given love or a lot of training. I was hesitant at first but knew she needed more guidance than I could provide to her. I am sooooo grateful I did this with Mike and Shannell!!! The first day home I could see a difference and I knew that I needed to learn also to be a good human to my Dixie. I am so happy with the time and direction given to the both of us!!! Thanks so much!!! I absolutely recommend this training school to anyone that has a dog and needs some training. Awesomeness!!! ♥️

Very informative, but i left feeling like an idiot and a failure to my dog, and a bad owner who doesn't know my dogg atall? even though I've been in the pet industry 33 years..I didn't get 1 bit of encouragement... just a bunch of I'm doing everything wrong...I've come to the conclusion every dog trainer thinks that their way is the best way, and since me as the pet owner is there for help I must not know anything?

My dog had previous training, but over time I had let things slip away from me and he was no longer as responsive as I wanted. I was no longer comfortable having my dog off leash outdoors. I started working with Mike and he immediately identified the unwanted behaviors and he was also able to quickly tell me what I had been doing wrong. I worked with him for a month and the difference is night and day. He got my pup back in to tip top shape. Not only is my dogs behavior fixed, I am also confident that I can now identify things and make my own adjustments. 11/10, great experience!

Did the doggy boot camp to address some behavioral issue with my lil fur baby, and it was super beneficial. Easy to digest and implement commands with effective results. The trainers were kind, considerate, consistent, and good communicators.

We recently adopted a 4 years old dog, very difficult on the leash.People keep telling us that it will be very hard to train him and we were extremely frustrated and ready to give upWe took him to K9 training for the month training program and the results have been pretty amazing and remarkable progress since day oneNo more pulling in the leash, now he can walk calmly and we are not longer stressed out to walk him around people or dogs4 weeks have help us so much, we learned a lot of how to work with himThis training really works!!Thank you!!

We LOVE Utah K9 Training! Our two adult, adopted dogs went to the month-long camp (4 all-day lessons). The first day we saw such an improvement in their behavior, it would’ve been worth the cost of the entire camp just for the first day of training.The staff was great about modifying their lesson plans to meet our dogs behavioral needs. One of our dogs was already great at sit, stay, recall and house manners, but has terrible socialization skills. So, they modified the curriculum to involve 2 days of walking through the park and working on being around other dogs.

If you are serious about having a well-trained, well-behaved dog, look no further. I took both the Basic Obedience course and Basic E-Collar course, and I never would have believed two months ago where my dog is at now. She started off not even coming when called, and now I can walk her off-leash on busy trails full of other dogs without a worry. She also used to pull on-leash and lunge at other dogs, and now I can walk her with one finger. I often receive compliments about how obedient she is. I'm not embellishing - Mike's methods really work. It's up to you to do the work, and you should come ready to learn and spend the time at home, but it's so worth it. I'll never go back to chaotic dog ownership.Mike will teach you how your dog thinks and all the reasons your efforts might not be working. He has a ton of experience teaching dogs, diagnosing and correcting issues, and it will surprise you how quickly your dog likes and obeys him. You'll see how your body language, inconsistency, and generally unrefined strategies are confusing your dog. Alongside reliable commands, Mike also focuses on structure and leadership, with a firm but gentle approach. I admittedly babied my dog, but I learned how a lack of boundaries was actually stressful for her. I can't begin to describe how my relationship with my dog has improved and how much happier she seems.She's attentive, calm, and even things like excessive barking just disappeared. I never would have imagined the confidence I have in her now. I spend a lot more time with her outside because it's not stressful anymore, and she loves the controlled freedom and enrichment. It was a dream of mine to take my dog backpacking, or to one day train a hunting dog, and now those things feel totally realistic. I'm so grateful I found this training program; my dog and I are much better for it. Thanks Mike.PS. Don't worry if your dog is older or doesn't have a great foundation of commands. My dog was almost four and only knew "sit" when we started.

I had no idea who to call to get started on training for my new puppy. I reached out to Mike at Utah K9 Training and he was responsive and friendly. We are 2 lessons in and having so much fun! The prices are affordable and the training is easy to understand and easy to remember to take home and practice! It's a great place to get your dog trained!

I’ve learned a lot during my puppy 101 class. Everything is explained in a way that makes sense. So it sticks and I can apply it when I practice with my puppy at home. I would highly recommend.

Mike is the only trainer I will ever take my dogs to. He is patient with training the owners, as well as the dogs. I enjoy taking my dog out for a walk or anywhere away from home. Everyone enjoys being around a dog that is more obedient and I can relax more. Thank you, Mike
