I’ve spent thousands of dollars at this store. I’ve been a loyal customer until today.I bought a tire lube while my wheel was in the store. The bike mechanic was wonderful to deal with, but asked if I would install the tire tube myself at home. Wanting to give him a break and not knowing if it would cost me, I said yes. He also helped me get the green goo inside when my bottle I bought from the store wasn’t working.I get home, install it as I have many other tubes, pump to 45 PSI I always have, and it explodes. Green goo gets all over my clothes, my two kids, and my garage and bike.I go back to the store and the only thing the manager can say is that they don’t cover tire explosions if the tire isn’t installed by their crew. That is their policy and what does that mean? That they believe the majority of tire booms are customer fault and not from a bad product.Except the mechanic didn’t install it when the tire was right in front of him.Doesn’t matter. The manager didn’t budge. I told him I would pay another $10.19 and he would lose a customer over it. He took the payment and I will now be avoiding this place.

Nick (the army brat) spent a lot of time with us today as we rapidly fired questions his way. He was knowledgeable about a subject that we were clueless on... surviving Africa in regards to clothing, water filtration, etc. He gave himself a 4 out of 5 stars, I give him 5 out of 5 stars.

Woke. Was in the middle of checking out when I noticed the huge trans/pride flags posted all over the place, on the wall, a flag in the window, and on the hat and lanyard of an employee.. also 3 of the employees wooden badges boldly proclaiming their pronouns, not to mention the useless face diapers 2 of the 3 front desk workers were wearing. It’s like some sort of bizarre cult where each employee is obligated to prove how far left they! They go out of their way to virtue signal and fall all over themselves to prove their obedience in supporting all the latest charades of the day.The employee asked me for my payment and in that moment I realized they aren’t getting my money. I told him I had a change of mind, walked out, and went to Scheels.

Lots of staff wandering around but no one offered to help me. Minimal options for good hiking shoes and climbing gear. Seems like they cater to mountain biking and people who want fancy puffies.

Great REI! So many friendly workers asked if I needed help. Little do they know that I’m the browsing king. Eventually I caved and asked for assistance for an upcoming road trip and the staff member was incredibly helpful.

Brought some skis in for a wax. Enjoyed a conversation with Dave as he worked on my skis, and I appreciated his stories and expertise.

The return policy at REI is so good! You can return things within the year if you are not satisfied no questions asked! Well, they do ask some questions, like why you didn't like it, but that's it! Great location with great staff!

Great store and customer service. Only complaint is unlike the salt lake store this one is missing climbing holds to test shoes on. We ended up testing them on a bolt in the wall but a designated place would have been nice.

Couldn’t rave enough about this location! Jeanette was EXTREMELY helpful in helping my husband in deciding which Garmin Watch to buy. She spent 30 minutes on the phone answering any questions he had and gave SO much helpful information about the product. 10/10 customer service, she’s awesome!

I have been a customer of REI for various outdoor gear and services, but my recent experience with their ski tuning service was deeply disappointing and has left me out of pocket. In November 2022, I entrusted my skis to REI for a routine tune-up. I ended up not skiing at all last year and my skis sat in the corner of my garage all year. I then took them in again this year to REI where they pointed out the Anti Friction Device Plates on both bindings were missing - a crucial safety component. The staff claimed these plates "fall out all the time," which is perplexing considering the complexity involved in their removal and the only activity for the skis in the past year was being unloaded from my car, put in a corner and reloaded into the car. When I followed their advice and sought replacements where I purchased my skis, I was informed that not only do these plates not simply fall out, (you have to remove the bindings and remove 4 screws) but they also cannot be replaced and I had to purchase new bindings making the service at REI very expensive in the long run.

They tried to sign me up for their 30 dollar membership without my approval. The lady said “I’m giving you this 30 dollar gift card on top of your purchase” and then added the 30 dollars to the total costs of my purchase. She then started to gather all my info, not once asking me if I was interested in joining the membership. I caught it and told her I’m not interested and then she argued back with me still pushing to sign me up. That’s bad business.

I enjoy shopping at REI. If timed right, you can get some good deals on great products.I normally don’t need staff help but they are always friendly based on my experience. I recently had a very positive interaction with Brooke from REI. She was friendly, helpful, and enjoyable to talk to about gear. She’s the kind of associate that I enjoy interacting with. REI needs to keep hiring more people like her.

Workers are generally knowledgeable (the lady who was in the navy knows her stuff). The pricing is really expensive, but the nice thing is you can find good quality stuff and you can find what you want. Plus you have a great return policy. 6 months for anyone, a year if you’re a member (one time fee of $30 to become a member). They don’t ask lots of questions when you return things so returning is fairly easy.Their sales are usually decent so I’d recommend waiting for their Christmas sale or anniversary sale that’s in the spring. Sometimes their gear has defects (it’s usually really good) but their good return policy makes up for it.I’m still giving them a 5/5, because I think that if you put price aside they live up to expectations .

Oct 9, 2023: they had climbing shoes we needed, and it was easy to get what we wanted as the shoe boxes were right there. But the 2 stars are because they kept trying to sell me a REI membership even when I said no thanks. It was really frustrating.

I went in for a discounted pair of hiking boots that were available at this store, and it was a very smooth process. Kate and Blake are very knowledgeable, genuine, and friendly and helped me out to get the shoes I needed. They gave thorough explanations of the differences in various products, and overall made for a great experience!
