Was recommended to bring my car here by a friend. Super disappointed, paid a good amount for unfinished work (break pads replaced that only lasted a month) which resulted in me needing to get the work done somewhere else the next month (the other mechanic said the rotors needed some attention so we wouldn’t keep going thru break pads). I wish I could get my money back because I had to pay for it twice…sad because they are nice people but the work got done halfway.

Vince doesn’t work here anymore. He retired. I liked it more when he was present, the quality was there.

I had a very bad experience in that workshop, the truth is that they do not carry out a proper diagnosis, they only make you change parts and parts of your car and in the end they did not solve the problem of my car and only made me spend a lot of money, I do not recommend them at all. They are not mechanical, they are just part changers.

Such a great experience! I went to Nate Wade Subaru to get a diagnosis on my car shaking violently on the highway… twice they misdiagnosed it and sent me on my way. My friend then recommended me this shop, I called on a Thursday and they had a slot open the next morning Friday at 8:30 to drop it off. They had it diagnosed, went and got parts and fixed by 3PM Friday. I called Subaru just out of curiosity to see how much it would’ve been to get it fixed there (right control arm, break rotors, break pads) and they quoted me more than double ($1,600+) what Vince Quang Auto charged me. Vince also showed me what was wrong & explained to me what they fixed. Will definitely be going back any time I have car issues & I am so relieved to have found a good car shop in SLC after moving here a few years ago!

The staff at Vince Quang is is very helpful and kind. They took my car for a tuneup appointment and had it ready by that afternoon.

Do yourself a favor and don’t bring any cars here besides Japanese vehicles. They completely ruined by Mercedes E-Class and tried defending it by saying “you told us to open it up” I wouldn’t have agreed to let them “open it up” if I knew this is what they meant. Now, mind you they cut into my DPF system which is illegal and now I have a car that will take thousands of dollars to repair. They’re great and cheap if you have a Japanese car though…also Vince isn’t the one who runs the shop anymore. Wish he still ran it though! I guarantee this wouldn’t have happened if he was still here.

We’ve been going to Vince Quang Auto for several years. It’s not very close but they always beat other auto repair quotes sometimes by half. They are honest and reliable. Last week they replaced our radiator on our 2010 Toyota Sienna (for almost half of the next lowest quote) and I drove it away. The next day I noticed our AC wasn’t cold. I called and he said to bring it in and they would take care of it. I brought it in and they found a small hole in the metal line going from the radiator to the AC. (He showed it to me) He explained that when they had tried to take the radiator apart things were a little stuck and it must have happened then. They spent more hours and a new part and repaired it for free. I would expect a repair shop to replace something they damaged for free but I especially appreciated their honesty in owning up to it instead of claiming that they didn’t do it. I’ll keep coming to Vince Quang and recommending them to everyone.

Vince doesn't need to advertise, he's already fully booked from just word-of-mouth referrals. That's a good sign. He saved me a significant amount of cash by finding out the Subaru dealership was trying to overcharge me for an unnecessary repair. He's a busy man, so you might need to follow up more than once, but he will take care of you. I think he's honest and works with integrity, which is invaluable when it comes to mechanics, plumbers, used car salesman etc.
