This gym is consistently overcrowded, making it difficult to find open equipment. Additionally, their customer service is extremely poor. Despite my request to pause or cancel my membership due to a broken foot, they continued to charge me. Overall, I would not recommend this gym due to its overcrowding and lack of consideration for its members' situations.

I signed up to go to fitness classes during the day when I’m home with my kid. It turns out that they offer NO group fitness classes between 11:00 and 6:00 and NO childcare from 12:00-4:00. If any mom wants to go to the gym at lunch time, forget it. Apparently no one in the valley likes to take group fitness classes on their lunch break. For me the group fitness package is a waste of money.

The gym is nice enough, the locker room is cleaner than EOS and their app works well too. There is one thing- the big air fan that circulates air around the treadmill area has about a years worth of dust on it! Really gross!

Convenient location and staff is great, but it's kind of small. There's frequently a wait for the squat rack and dead lift area. Equipment in general isn't as good as other locations. Would also be nice if they put timers back on the walls.

I really hate to write reviews of places, but I want to help someone out who is looking for a gym in Salt Lake City. Vasa is not the place to go. The facility is not very well maintained, the equipment is not clean, and it generally smells awful. I think the staff is nice enough, but the gym is just not well kept.Vasa is also not very transparent about pricing. Tell me why when I went to cancel my membership that is $9.99 a month plus the $25 cancellation fee ended up coming to $89. They have free weight, which was appealing compared to Planet Fitness (which only has machines), but my experience with a cheap membership there was far better there. I recommend finding another gym.

The staff was very nice and helpful. However, these were the dirtiest bathrooms I have ever been in. Every toilet in the women’s room had feces on the seat and when I took a shower, I realized that there was a used period pad in the changing booth portion on the floor. Absolutely disgusting.

Good gym on the smaller side since it was originally an express. Needs another squat rack, new bulbs in the tanning beds, clocks, and a functioning water fountain to refill bottles. Staff is great!

I love the staff at this gym, and the location is definitely the closest to me, so its convenient. But this Vasa location needs a revamp. The equipment is all breaking/ falling apart constantly, they need completely new squat racks because there's only one good rack. only one deadlift platform,. Compared to all the other Vasa's this one is the lowest tier. There's no Sauna/ steam room, pool, small turf area, unused cinema center. I honestly feel as if you go to this vasa as your main location you should get a discounted membership because its missing so many of the other amenities that the other Vasa's have.

This Brickyard location is by far the best, in my opinion. I've visited many of the others across the Salt Lake Valley (there's a few on the east side in Milcreek and Murray, and I've also been to the one off Redwood, the one in South Jordan, and the one in West Valley).I like the way they have everything organized at Brickyard. The treadmills, stationary bikes, step climbers, etc. are in one place on the main floor, close to the entrance with lots of windows. The turf area with free weights, the plate machines, and the squat bars are also on the main floor, with the kettle bells and such next to that. Lots of great lighting. The main floor also has a cinema room, always with a movie going and fans! The upstairs (elevator included) has the other machines, the ones you put the pin in to add weight. I like that I can go up there and feel less stimulated and less crowded. It overlooks the turf area. The site is always clean, well lit, and well ventilated. I would typically go in the morning to early afternoon, I never felt like it was overcrowded.THE BEST PART OF THIS LOCATION THOUGH IS THE PEOPLE!!!!!Monica, the head trainer, really knows her stuff! She was very patient with me in understanding my goals and set me up with a good trainer who met my needs. The front desk not only welcomes me but also recognizes me, which feels nice!I had an issue with billing after having to put my account on freeze. I was back and forth over the customer service email, and they were not helpful. I went into the South Jordan location to get help. I didn't get anywhere with them. So I went all the way to Brickyard because I had faith in the people there. Not only did Monica help me understand the situation with billing and things, but she also got her manager (VERY SWEET HUMAN!!) to help us get it figured out. In the end, because of Monica and her manager, my billing situation was resolved, and my faith in VASA has been restored! I'm very grateful!

This gym is almost perfect to achieve my specific goals.I'm restarting my fitness journey and I feel supported by the knowledgeable staff.I wish there was a way to submit suggestions for classes. I want to attend an Aqua class because I know that I need input on proper form for swimming. However, there are very few offered at times that are impossible (for me) to attend.

The two machines I wanted and tried to use today were both broken. The staff is always different and when I brought my sister as a guest the staff had NO idea what the different plans were and if guest privileges were included. The plates are never where you should be able to find them and when they are they are haphazardly put on the rack. This location makes going to the gym SUCH a chore and takes away any enjoyment I could get out of it.

It’s an okay gym. It’s pretty small, with not much equipment, and old equipment. I go early in the morning so fighting a crowd isn’t an issue, but I can’t imagine how impossible it is to get a machine or a dumbbell at 5pm. Gets the job done though!

I have been a member at Vasa for over 7 years and I have loved the staff and the facility. Up until today, my satisfaction for Vasa has decreased drastically because West one of the employees laughed when I asked about renewing my membership and because of this, I will be finding a new gym to workout at.

Is the gym small yes, crowded yes, is padding sometimes yes. But it's got soul and some great machines. It's not worth a pilgrimage but it gets the job done

The main reason I chose VASA was for it's cardio cinema. It's the greatest distraction while running next to being outside. However, they have very little value for their customers. My credit card got hacked earlier this year and had to get canceled. I did not realize right away that it was the card I used to pay VASA. VASA made no attempt to inform me of any missed payment. Now, I recognize it's not their responsibility to inform me of who's getting paid from what card, but it would have alerted me to the problem a lot more promptly. Instead, they sent a collection agency after me. I have been a member of VASA back when they were still Gold's gym. That long relationship ended when they hired a collection agency after only 2 and a half months after canceling my card. Not only that, I received a single email from this agency demanding payment, stating it was their forth attempt to contact me. I honestly thought it was a scam email until VASA confirmed it. I scoured my email and found no other emails related to VASA, other than their promotional junk mail. If this is how they treat their long term members then I highly recommend finding another gym. The cardio cinema isn't worth it. Clearly they're much more concerned with the dollar value and have no interest in customer satisfaction.
