They have always given me good prices and don't b.s. I recommend using them for any car services. I've gone in with three vehicles over the past 7 years and always had a good experience. There was even a time when I was told from another shop that I needed specific work done and Vargas told me that it was actually another issue that was cheaper which was made me trust that they are not in it to rip me off but to give me good customer service. Also, whenever I call in for a quote, they are quick to reply back with all the options and ask the right questions rather than just assuming something and giving me the highest price. Thanks for all your help and I will be going back the next time I need work on one of my cars.

I found Vargas (online, through reviews) when I first moved to SLC as a young, single woman in 2015. If you've ever been in a new city in that situation, you know that finding a mechanic is tough work--it always feels like someone is trying to take advantage of you.I have NEVER felt like that at Vargas. I immediately felt like family. These guys are trustworthy, respectful, and treated me exactly the same as every other customer. I have been a Vargas evangelist since the get-go and have sent countless other friends to see them and have never, ever had a complaint. In fact, my friends end up sending their friends to Vargas, too.Here's an example: when searching for a used car, we brought one to Vargas and asked them to check it out. They not only did this for us for free*, but they were honest about the state of the car. When we asked "Would you buy this?" we were told "No. I wouldn't." These guys could have told us yes and banked on the maintenance and repair costs, but they're way too honest for that.Go to Vargas. You'll get honest pricing, clear communication, and a whole lot of respect.*I'm not sure if this is actually a free service or if they were just being kind! Don't quote me on it.Services: Tires

Extremely honest and exceptionally fair prices. They’re almost victims of their own success. They’re constantly busy, but we’ve never had to wait longer than a day or two to get our cars worked on.We’ve used them enough that they know our family by name. We drive 30 minutes to get there because we trust them so much.

Let me start off by saying, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! These people are rude, sly and straight up disrespectful. I was sent over to the place by another auto body shop and had the most racial experience ever. Before I headed into the place, I called to see if they were still open. The lady picked up the phone, then left it on the counter, walked off and took another conversation. When I got to the shop I had explained that I had an issue with my car that they had something to do with. As I was explaining it, he proceeded to yell at me saying its not his problem and to go somewhere else. A couple seconds later he took a phone call mid conversation, walked out, came back in and decided to help and be very sweet to the white woman standing behind me. When he finished with her, he went back to his computer and completely ignored me when I asked for help multiple times. I mean he wouldn't even look at me when I called him back over. Moral of the story, this is not the place to fix your car. Even if it seems cheap or whatever. They have no morals because they live off of cheating you out of your money.

Had my 1998 Jeep engine rebuilt, new clutch, shocks on all 4 wheels replaced. This is a great repair shop, I don't think they can be beat. Very honest people. I've been taking my vehicles to Vargas Auto Service for many years, I've never been disappointed

My experience with these guys: they are crooks. Brought in my car with a thermostat that had been installed backwards. All they had to do was flip it over, at it was brand new. I was surprised to be charged for a "new" one, When I asked for the one they had supposedly taken out, I was given an old one with rust/worn out. Clearly not the one I had bought just a few days before. I paid the bill, but I will never go back or recommend them to anybody.
