There are so many bad reviews here for Mary. Why is she still employed there? Mary is unprofessional, rude, and condescending.

My wife took our son to this branch to open an account before leaving for college in Wisconsin. We chose US Bank because they have a branch in Madison. There were three Bank employees there and only one other customer who was at the teller window. They were told that they had to make an appointment to open an account. The times available this week wouldn't work and he's going out of town next week. So much for bothering with US Bank. They walked right into the University of Utah Credit Union, which opened an account for him within minutes and connected us with their affiliate, Madison Credit Union who says they are looking forward to meeting him. That's customer service that US Bank doesn't seem to understand.

Unfortunately my experience has been similarly negative to others posted here.I went to deposit a large paycheck at their drive thru ATM, the machine ate the check and gave an error message. Then things really started downhill.I was told just minutes later that the manager looked inside the ATM and didn’t see a check with my name on it. This manager doesn’t know how to look through the ATM, the machine didn’t make the check vanish. I see the manager has other bad reviews here.I was then told that I would have to wait til the next day to start the paperwork for remedying the situation. Mary, someone who has another bad review here, would be starting the report. Mary asked me hardly any questions and gathered what seemed like too little information to file a report. She told me I would receive the funds preliminarily in 10 days and US Bank would have 45 days to decide if this was indeed an error on their part. After 12 days had passed and there were no funds deposited I started calling US Bank customer service asking for updates. The first 4 calls yielded nothing but promises that the situation would be looked into and apologies that nothing could be done at the moment. On the 5th call, more than 30 days later, I finally reached a woman who looked closely and told me the report had been filed wrong. She closed that report and started a new one, telling me this would all be taken care of correctly.Well, here we are 30 days after the second report was filed and those “promised” and “guaranteed” funds are nowhere to be found. Customer service admits there is a problem but once again apologizes that nothing can be done. At this point I’ve just asked to be issued another check by the client. This is of considerable embarrassment, my profession requires me to be smooth and secure with payments. This situation checks a lot of boxes for an unreliable bank: Machines that don’t work right, losing physical documents, reporting numbers incorrectly, poor customer service, missing payment dates, failure to track reports. I don’t see how a nationwide bank can function like this.P.S.Like others mentioned, I have also been asked random questions when making a withdrawal despite having government issued ID.

This place will rob you. Their manager is a joke and the most incompetent bank employee I’ve ever met. The customer service was non-existent. They are taking advantage of people with little to nothing. When the government told the bank to return fees to me that the bank charged due to an error at unemployment. This bank was so hungry to steal every bit of money they could from me. Provided no efforts to resolve the issue. Take your money out of US bank and run to any other institution. This place has no ethics or integrity. This branch specifically is filled with rude and incompetent employees. They are not here to help people. They are here to empty your pockets.

I love US Bank however this branch leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I am not sure what has changed over the last year or so because I used to love this branch. My experiences are listed below.

Be prepared to pay out the nose to do business with this company. They double up on over draft fees and are very hard to have personal or business accounts with. If you are a small business customer they will reward you with an overdraft fee of $72.00 PER CHARGE - be aware they are terrible at customer service.
