Hope all the Capital one consumer can be able to read this, please vote for this review. I suggest to close your capital one account and tell your friends to move another better credit card company. This company charge too much interest and do not wan to help out their customer. Capital one only think of themselves and how to get money from their customer that would not be unoticeable. Capital one have exchanged their reputation for the amount $43.29. WOW!!!! On January 2, 2021 between the hours of 12:00-1:00 am PST. I called Capital one customer service due an unexpected balance of $43.29 appeared in my account posted since Dec. 23, 2020. I wasn't expecting this since I already made the full payment on my account for amount of $3,215.64 on Dec.14, 2020. I was expecting that my account **** **** **** 5429 will be at 0 balance. I have ask the CSR to help me out to waive the fee of $43.29 but declined to do so. The account representative told me that he cannot waive the fee and has no means of information or access to waive it. I then asked to be transferred to the account manager who I believe has more access to grant my request. The manager or supervisor verified my account and check my information. For the second time, the manager or supervisor have adamantly told me that he cannot do anything to help me to waive the interest fee of $43.29. Wow, really, seriously, for $43.29 as a long time customer who is asking for your help to waive this fee has been strongly denied to be help out. I have been patiently paying my debt in Capital one even though Capital one has been charging too much interest fees in my account. I really have to go through of all instead of Capital one thinking of their own benefit, for $43.29 really, your credibility as supposed to be a "helpful" credit card company will be published for not helping out a customer like me most especially this hard season of pandemic. I then, just requested to the manager/supervisor to close my account, since he doesn't want to waive it. He said that I still need to pay $43.29 even though the account will be closed , that I will be responsible for it. I said "no" I will not pay that $43.29 because I already paid the balance in full. He then declined to close my account. Let it be known, that i will not be paying anymore fees/interest to this account since I have already paid the balance in full and Capital one have already collected so much interest and fees in me already. All I ask is this should be settled so I can be back in my normal life. This amount of $43.29 has been stressing me out and should be waive for the sake of helping out your customer. Capital one should extend their hands to more considerate and don't push their costumer to pay more and more.

A few years ago, I was introduced to a concept called "credit card hacking." No, it's not illegal-it's simply signing up for credit cards for the benefits of each card. Of course, you have to pay attention to the details-understand the annual fee (if any) and pay the card off each month before you start to accrue interest. Otherwise, you don't come out ahead. I have multiple cards-one for groceries, one for gas, one for....well, you get it. One of my favorite cards is the Capital One Savor card. I get 4% cash back on dining out and entertainment-both things that my family does often. It's a great card and I've enjoyed the cash back benefit from it. One thing that I love the most about the card is that I can redeem my cash back at any time, in any increment. Other cards make you wait until you have $25 increments to "cash out." Nope, I can bank it up here and make a big dent in my statement (applying my benefit to the card balance) or I can redeem in small chunks-whatever I want! I've never had any problems with the card-truly. It's been great. For anyone that wants to earn cash back on these types of purchases AND has the discipline to pay off the card each month (don't spend what you don't have) then this would be a card I'd recommend.

Capitol One credit card is amazing and works just fine if you know what you are doing...along with the credit score updates, it's convenient. Learn how owning a credit card can benefit you and you will reap the benefits sooner than you think. It is like having a savings account in a sense. Do it right, LEARN how to use it. I am sort-of sad to see all the negative comments about the Capitol One credit card... "damn expectations!?"

Capital One is not only one of the highest Interest rate credit cards, they also allow companies to auto renew charges from magazine subscriptions. I canceled BackStage Magazine On Line, and after one year, they charged my credit card over 150. dollars for emails.I disputed the charges with Capital one, and they pretty much said, if they contact Back Stage, and I don't have documentation that I canceled it, then they would not take the charges off my credit card. Capital One does not protect you in any way shape or form. Some people say, cancel the card, but what happens when you cancel a card? They report it to the Credit Bureau as canceled and your score goes down. My suggestion is do not get involved with Capital One, and also check stores where you apply for credit and make sure they are not the third party loaner

I submitted power of attorney documents on 05/30/2020, I received a letter on 06/15/2020 stating my documents were not complete. I contacted Capital One on 06/15/2020 and 06/16/2020 and both representatives could not assistance. I asked to be transferred to the fraud department today for another attempt to resolve this issue. As of today I have filed a complaint with consumer finance in hopes to receive assistance in this matter.

This company is enticing, but they will stop a transaction because it is for a conservative organization, which happened more than once. And while their customer service personnel are cheerful, they are useless, often misinformed (or told to mislead you?). Additionally, when I tried to open a savings account, they made it impossible to fund it. Save yourself frustration and hassle and time and do not even THINK about opening anything with this company. I am in the process of closing my account with them, another frustrating battle.

Do not open an account with Capital One!!! Check with your local bank because you will get a much better interest rate. I called Capital One and asked if they could lower my interest rate since I always pay my account way in advance and always pay a lot more than the minimum payment. Of course, there was no way they could lower my interest rate so I found another credit card company that offered me 0% interest for 18 months. They checked for my balance and did a balance transfer before the next payment was due. They told me that I should now have a zero balance with Capital One. When I checked my balance, it did show a zero balance. Now they have tacked on another $26.?? interest charge. I called Customer Service and then spoke to a Supervisor. The supervisor claimed that I could not speak to her boss and they could not fix my problem. I can send in a dispute; however, by then my payment for the interest rate would be late and they will charge me a $39.00 late fee plus more interest. This is never ending. They are out to get your money and that is all they care about. They do not care about their customers!!! Warning!!! Check around before getting an account with Capital One! There are other companies willing to work with you and I am sure you will be able to find a good deal if you shop around. Stay away from Capital One!!! Just look at all of the other negative reviews about Capital One on this site and you will see why you should avoid this company!

Give Judy a raise!!! Judy in the customer fraud protection department meant what she said when she told me not to worry and that she would take care of everything. I'll be a customer for life with capital one mainly because I know Judy is working in the background protecting my identity and even if something does happen she's there to fix it.

If you need to cancel a hotel reservation booked with Capital One, you better do it quick (like right after booking). Otherwise you will need to call the hotel, find someone to ok the cancellation, call Capital One back with that person's contact info and then wait to see if Capital One is able to get in touch with them. Just take the cash and book directly to avoid the hassle of routing purchases through Capital One. I thought being a rewards member might offer a higher level of service. Turns out it is the opposite.

Worst company ever to work with. I love their site and it's easy to use but their customer service is lacking especially in their fraud department when someone charged my card they wanted me to prove to them with paperwork and whatever else I had to disprove this charge. Ridiculous I did not make this charge so therefore you should show me what they charged and we're in with a signature and they will not refund my money so I canceled all four of my credit cards. Which was a great thing because I didn't realize I was being charged $39 plus a 28% fee just to use their cards. Do not get a capital one card they will rip you off every way they can. I have proof of this.

I have great credit and make my payments on time. I asked for a credit line increase which states on the documents received that it would not affect my credit score. It did. It went down 17 points. I wrote them a letter laying out all of the evidence and it took them almost a month to respond and then they changed the address on the correspondence they sent back to me. I contacted the customer service agent and asked for the fax number. Faxed the documents with evidence showing that my credit score was affected and advised that they reconsider based on lousy excuses, inaccurate information, and a firm request that they do NOT pull another credit report. They just make up whatever rules. Its immoral and unethical business practices. Some drunk in the back office at their credit review department makes up whatever nonsense. Good business relations does not matter even though you make payments on time and have never been late. Maybe, I will start my own private banking institution if this is how Capital One is to their customers. I will NOT remove this accurate review until fully resolved in a fair and accurate matter.

Worst credit card ever. After 3 years with 100% on-time payments, they gave me a measly $100 credit increase. Meanwhile, I applied for the Apple Card and instantly got accepted with a huge credit limit. So uh, yeah, bye. To make matters worse, I entered into a dispute with Straight Talk Wireless. After providing CO with all the evidence they requested, they sent me a letter saying I in fact provided NOTHING they asked for, and denied my request. They're just making stuff up at this point. I had a cut and dry claim and provided all the documented evidence they requested. They're lucky I don't have time for a small claims court case, because I would love to just annoy them (and get my $$ back).

I was a loyal customer in good standing (always paid my balance in full) for many years until I had a problem and realized the Customer Service has no interest in their clients, only in their vendors. They side with the store owner not the purchaser even after I sent them my receipts. They lost me over an $88.00 dollar dispute and simply assisted the store in ripping me off.

Tried Quicksilver three times and the card is subject to fraud. The problem is that the Capital One people seem utterly inadequate at addressing the fraud with any precision or intelligence. Almost impossible to access Capital One's website.
