Very nice and calm atmosphere, even if you're not planning on buying just browsing around is in itself an excellent experience. The gentleman who runs it is very nice, and everything is well kept and atmospheric.

Chock full of interesting Steampunk goodies. Lamps, sculptures, and and even a beautiful time machine so you can go back and change the past. This is the place for unique and high quality art. Recommended for that hard to please person who has everything.

Interesting pieces of metal/artwork. I didn't buy anything. It was expensive and I'm just too frugal of a person. If you like interesting finds, this is a good place to browse.

Amazing lamps and curiosities made from vintage and antique items. One of a kind lamps. I believe all are handmade by the same guy who runs the steampunk spectacle upstairs. Prices can be high but are perfectly reasonable for the quality and time put into the pieces. I would buy one if I wasn't a poor college student, but even so I enjoy just looking because the place is like a museum!

Well, I've never seen anything like The Machine Age in Trolley Square. With its feet firmly planted in the Steampunk subculture, TMA is filled with a time machine, 19th Century antiques, and so many cool things I would use up a TB of memory photographing it all. All sorts of old-time lamps and lighting fixtures surround the store. There are amazing cabinets. There's a large wood mail-slot I almost walked out with. There are grandfather clocks and wood phones from the early 1900. There's a priceless vintage Star Wars poster and old Jules Verne books. It's a sight to see. My only beef is with prices way too high. Still, it's well worth a visit. You, like me, may find something you never knew you needed that you now can't live without.
