Haynie & Company provides accounting services to a major property development company of which I am an investor.Each year, Haynie is extremely slow in providing K-1 tax documents. As of April 10th, we still have not received our 2023 K-1’s, leaving only two working days for our CPA’s to complete personal returns. To make things worse, it will cost additional interest for delayed 2023 individual tax payments.If my property development company, Haynie would have been terminated years ago.

I am a 20-something who had a parent die and it complicated my personal taxes for that year, so I sought help from a professional. I made the mistake of going to the Jensen Group (now a part of Haynie and Company). The accountant prepared the taxes, but hasn’t filed them. I follow-up in emails and phone calls that continue to go unreturned. They also filed an extension without asking me and without me knowing for a tax year I didn’t ask for help with. Then when I went to file my taxes online for that year, they were rejected because it was under the impression that a firm was helping me prepare my taxes. I’m worse off now than had I not gone to this firm. I don’t recommend them for personal tax preparation. If you’re a business with money, then they might care about you.
