We’ve used Tax Plus since we moved to Utah. We found Victor and haven’t looked elsewhere because he’s been so thorough and helpful. We relocated to Florida and still use Tax Plus.
The receptionists are all super friendly as well! Their portal makes taxes seamlessly easy to upload all your documents and file. Thanks Tax Plus for helping us always. You’re all very much appreciated!

has been the worst tax preparation experience!! we have had nothing but problems with state and government since they prepared our taxes. I will admit we were a little different as retired from the military, worked in another state and then in Utah, my wife also worked in another state and then utah, so this is why they are getting 2 stars and not 1. We were told that we would receive a refund from the state of Utah, however small, it was still a refund. this turned out to be false and we had to pay. the other state payment was wrong and due to taxplus telling us not to pay installments to anyone, we received a penalty and had to pay more. the federal government turned out to be wrong as well. I have never had problems like this before. I would not recommend this service in anyway. if you do please make sure that you double and Tripple check the work to ensure correctness.

I wanted to file my taxes with Ryan again this year but after being told my tax refund would be half the cost of my bill, I told them I would be more comfortable filing my own taxes this year (in which case I would actually receive a substantial refund). My tax return was flagged/rejected as being already filed so I reached back out to TaxPlus to get clarification and just double check they didn’t already submit my taxes as well.
Even with my civil inquiry, the response and backlash I received was shocking, unprofessional, disrespectful and hostile. I was told I was indefinitely black listed from the company for self-filing and he continued to sarcastically tell me “good luck with identity theft because that’s what I get for filing myself after years of being a loyal customer.” Followed by being hung up on. Many other unkind words were also said on that call. Ryan even told me today that my tax refund would no longer be half the cost of their fee but would far exceed the fee and now match what I was seeing online when self-filing. Not sure what caused the change, seems suspicious to me even now. Had he instead approached the situation differently today, I would have been more than happy and willing to continue hiring them, compensate them for their time spent this year and would have even finished my taxes with them this year to make things right. Treating people with respect and kindness really does matter and things would have turned out differently, had they chosen that path. I am very disappointed in how he chose to react along with the lack of transparency on the numbers. During the phone call there was no empathy shown or apology given for the misinformation provided by his team or for the situation in general.
Please be careful if you choose to work with this company, it seems he is only conditionally kind if he and his company are benefitting. Otherwise a switch does flip. I always had felt grateful and thought I found a good accountant. I even referred multiple clients to him. I have since learned they also have had poor experiences here.
Cherry on top? They reset my account immediately so I can no longer access my tax documents. I really hope they can learn from this and change their ways for the better.

I wish I could've got her name but she didn't even attempt giving me the time of day. My brother has been doing his taxes with this company for years and he recommended to work with Ryan. I was super excited, this is my first year officially filing. I had spoke with one of the secretaries and they let me know they weren't having anymore face to face appointments and to drop off my documents. Today I came in to drop off my documents and I didn't have the best experience. I had already been sitting for about 10-15 minutes in the waiting room before a man came in & was helped immediately and what sounded like a face to face appointment. After sitting for another 5 minutes I finally approached the secretary office thinking maybe they didn't know I was there. I pushed all my social anxiety out of the way and approached the office like my brother recommended only to be looked at like I interrupted a family dinner and was bothering with my presence. The chubbier older lady on the left proceeds to look at me and tells me to go sit back down and someone will be with me. I was only dropping off documents, she wasn't doing anything. How much work could it have taken her? I work in a finance company, when someone comes in to sign their loans. If the person who isn't there to finalize the loan at the time of the appointment or walk in, we don't leave the customer waiting we take the information they brought in, take copies..etc. I understand if it takes them more time and effort to get up and greet/attend people but if that is the case maybe the front desk should be opened for them or they should have a system set up on how to know when a customer has ALREADY been waiting because obviously the little ring bell on the door isn't cutting it. This will fly over a lot of people's heads but it's 2024 we should learn how to have BASIC customer service and kindness looking as there is enough hate in the world already. This is a reminder to myself and them because I didn't look the best either but that first impressions are everything and if that's the first welcome I got I promise I won't be back again.

Worst place to do business. They don’t respond to you, my taxes are now late and behind. Victor is probably one of the worst people to trust your business with. Go elsewhere and avoid the headaches.

Unprofessional, poor communication and jacking up prices each year. Said will send me an email of the instructions yesterday and failed to do so. Quite frustrating. Keep on calling me by my old number… which I have updated them months ago. Getting you business but failed to do a good job.

the communication has been so slow.Calling the office, sometimes they get back other times I had to follow up with them to just resend an email that I never receiced. And oh Calling, Texting Victor owner directly... He just simply doesn't respond at all. I'm a little disappointed at this point.

I've been here multiple times and they've done great except for this year I had a really complicated text problem and I was sent away basically said right now I can't help you but come back next month didn't even help me make another appointment I walked out of there very sad and disappointed I feel like my problem was ignored

Terrible customer service. I cancelled my payroll account and had to confirm several times with different people that it was cancelled and fill out forms and I am STILL being charged. If I call them no one ever answers and they never return my calls. What a nightmare. Avoid them at all costs.Edit:Was finally able to get through to them after several days of trying and they were much more responsive. Would have been nice to get that from the start but I still appreciate it regardless.

First time filing business and personal taxes with Tax Plus. Ryan help me out he's very knowledgeable and knows his stuff. These guys are extremely busy, that's how good they are, so schedule an appointment online or over the phone with Ryan or anyone at Tax Plus. Don't be discouraged if you have to leave a message, they will call you back the same day or the next business day. :-)

This place is a Nightmare, if your personal information is IMPORTANT to you Do Not Go Here...... Shady Shady Shady.... also charges Nearly 800$ to file you'r taxes.... not to mention when we finally did receive "service" this place will having nearly every detail about your government filing Incorrect... excuse after excuse.. horrible business.
