Best gas station / corner store. Amazing employees.I’ve been frequenting this establishment for 5 years and never felt I needed to leave a review until seeing one left by another customer. In their review they insinuated that a member of the staff was to be avoided and called them lazy as well as other insults. Everyone who works at Dave’s shop and go is a saint and will make you feel right at home with their individual personalities. I have had nothing but great experiences at this establishment. The fact that someone felt that they needed to single out one of the employees, insult them, and stain their reputation is ridiculous. Greatest shop, greater people.

Dave’s Shop N’ Go ReviewBy: Charlie LoftinDave’s is one of the greatest local stores I have ever been to. I have always and always will find solace in walking to this little store every week day and getting greeted. I find comfort in how stocked these shelves are. Always having the usual sundries, but I can also always find a unique little trinket on the shelves of this little store.This store is not just a convenience store, it’s a home. A beautiful home, a home littered with trinkets and snacks and everything else. If they don’t have it (which is rare), they will order it. This store cares, even with the passing of the owner, he lives on and he cares. He cares for his past, present, and future customers. His son cares, the employees care, but most of all, the community cares.One thing I always expect in this little store are the shelves, always fully stocked with the best prices in town. This store isn’t in it for the money, they’re in it for the community. Which is why without them, this community would feel much different. I always come here during the school week, and being a 7th grader, they are always welcoming. Greeting me with a smile on their face and telling me the ever so often conspiracy. I know I’m in for a treat from the moment I walk in, with the smell of fresh donuts and hotdogs hitting my face. I always walk around for a minute even though I know what I’m looking for, I just want to admire this little store with childlike admiration.Even the exterior is inviting, with the muted tones of the walls, but the lime green trim. From the first time I saw it, I knew this would be what made Salt Lake a real community. In my opinion, there isn’t one negative feature of this small community convenience store stuck in time.Another unique feature about this store is they have seasonal sundries, tomatoes for the summer, Christmas trees and gingerbread for the winter, pumpkins for fall, and flowers for spring. These beautiful arrays create ornate displays of vibrant seasonal colors.But my favorite features of this store, the always stocked, always expansive selection of sodas and the always there, always inviting, hot dogs and donuts. This selection always creates warm, inviting efforts to hug you from the inside. My favorite combo has to be a coke with a donut and hot dog. Always a classic, always my favorite, just like this little community store.

I've been going to Dave's Shop & Go since I was a kid, I have fond memories of scrounging up cash to get some of their donuts or soft serve. They have a great selection despite the small size and the service is great. I'm glad Dave's son has kept the place up and running just as I remember it being when I was a kid.

Been going here since I was in middle school, Ted the owner is the coolest guy. I’d support this over 711 any day. they literally have everything you could ever need. I’ll continue spending money there for as long as they are open!

Shop n go is one of sugarhouse's best local owned businesses! I haven't seen super recent reviews so I wanted to let Yelp know I've been shopping here for over 15 years and it still hasn't lost its charm! They have a LOT more than gas and it is so tidy/ accessible that if I'm cooking and don't have an ingredient I can usually just run over to shop n go. It does look kind of small from the street but inside the store has a shockingly decent selection of grocery items that aren't insanely expensive (sometimes maverick has basic food items but it's SO overpriced and tiny that shop n go is a breath of fresh air. ) The of candy/ drinks are usually a little lower than anywhere else too! The staff is ALWAYS friendly and it's evident that they are taken care of by the owner. It's also been such a joy to see Dave's son update the shop without losing anything that made it so special in the past! He also sells produce from a garden on in sugarhouse so the produce is really fresh and really tasty. DEFINITELY go in and buy some tomatoes for a salad and DEEEEEEEEEFINITELY get some frozen yogurt IYKYK it's just the best

I'm bummed out because I have loved going here for years. Unfortunately they're not taking the pandemic seriously, not requiring masks and the staff also is not wearing masks. When I brought up how I was perturbed, the clerk told me that they didn't have to enforce the rule because they were a "privately owned company". As much as I love getting soft serve, donuts and Gatorades, popping into this place is certainly not worth putting my family and friends at an increased risk. So I'll just need to go somewhere else. C'mon Dave.

I moved in the neighborhood about a year ago. This place is Exactly what I require by my house. Friendly, walkable place. Good Coffee! Good Gummies! Beer, Cigs, you name it!! Penny candies too!
