I am consistently impressed with Salt Lake Tennis and Health Club. Highly recommend!Pricing: Their pricing is fair and transparent, and I appreciate that you pay for tennis only when you play. Other facilities I've been to build tennis costs into their membership pricing, increasing total membership costs. I really like the 'pay as I play' model because I don't play tennis at the club daily. The tennis programs I've participated in have been incredibly economical, and I was astonished by the surprisingly low cost of the tennis programs for members. As it pertains to membership, every interaction with Heather has been great. In fact, about a year ago, I had a concern with my membership, and when I spoke with Heather, she was accommodating and worked with me. My decision to renew my membership the following year was influenced by her willingness to help me and my wonderful interactions with her. Many thanks to Heather!Staff and Other Members: The staff has been nothing but superb. Upon entering the club, the front desk employees greet you with several warm welcomes and smiles! Many of them know me by name, making the experience much better. They've been helpful and can answer any questions I've had. Each tennis coach I've had the honor of working with or attending their class is exceptionally knowledgeable, honest, comically funny, and encouraging. They are always happy to answer any clarifying questions, and I look forward to each tennis program/class because of them. When I first attended a tennis program, the other club members were so kind, excitedly welcoming me, and explained the drills. The club has an overall fun energy among the staff and other members. And I've even made some great club friends! A non-member even commented to me how friendly everyone at the club was!Weight Training and Cardio Areas: I love that a few pieces of equipment are always available for use, even during their busiest times. At other facilities I've been to during peak times, I've been 'stuck' on one machine, waiting for another to be available. They upgraded many of their weight training equipment, which has been great. The club is clean, and I frequently witness the cleaning staff - one of them in particular - continually cleaning the cardio area and women's restroom. The frequency with which I've witnessed her mopping the floors has greatly impressed me. She does a fantastic job!

Went to play soccer on their turf, just as we got there some goofy ahh looking dude came and kicked us off because there was a class starting. I looked around and didn't see any warning signs about the class. Can't you have another room for it like other gyms? Wasting my time

Heather, the head manager is self-serving and uninterested in any of its members. If you have a concern, she will be fake and apathetic about it. After the impact of COVID-19, the club needed a well-planned strategy and a proper business plan for accepting new members. Unfortunately, their approach was not intelligent, and they continued to provide new memberships without the ability to support the volume. The club is in disrepair, and everything looks old, broken, destroyed, or dirty. Moreover, remnants of human skin around the pool are not hygienic. Despite this, the club managers continues mistreating its members and overcharging. It's sad because it could have been a great community place for many members. However, the place is worse than a recreation center due to its greediness and not-so-smart business plan. Get it together SL Tennis Club.

Our family has really enjoyed this facility. The pool is wonderful in the summer, with great food options. The gym facility is nice, and we have done many of the included classes. All have been top notch.

UPDATE: Response below makes my point for me. Priority is given to members even after public registration opens and your card is charged. Therefore, the rug can be pulled from under you at anytime! Not an establishment I would trust. We made sure to take off from work to drop off forms for summer camp the first day registration opened. Our credit card was charged and then we received a text stating “I thought I could get your child into those weeks but THEN a surge of members signed up”. They tried to get us to sign up for other weeks. When we asked if that could happen if we registered for other weeks, the director was very dismissive. Did not even deny that another cancellation would not happen. We feel we need reliable plans for our child as two professionals with full-time jobs and this unprofessional behavior has put an extremely bad taste in our mouth. Would not recommend to any friends or family.

Overall, a great health club! A couple suggestions:Treadmill TVs get in the way of short people - could you take a few off? Not everyone watchs TV, so having a few of them uninstalled would be nice. They block your view if you just want to look outside.P.S. Are there plans to add a Racquetball Court?

The facility is nice. The biggest issue IMO is cleanliness. The women's locker room gets cleaned about once a month, if that. (My husband has indicated the men's locker room is about the same) There were times the showers and changing areas were not cleaned for nearly 2 months. The steam room in the women's locker room has been broken for nearly 6 months at the time I'm writing this (5/2/22). The sauna was cleaned 3 times in the year I was a member, the steam room about the same (in 6 months, the other 6 months it didn't work). I spoke to and emailed management about the cleanliness issue several times, which would result in a cleaning.... and then .... nothing again. I watched as front desk staff and management walked through the women's locker room with trash on the floor and didn't stop to pick it up. It's a shame that such a beautiful facility is so dirty. The common area seems to get cleaned about once a week, which for such a high traffic facility just isn't enough.

The tennis courts are decent enough. About average for the area. They have a few really great pros that run clinics and teach lessons. They have invested a good amount of money on new gym equipment and renovations on the facility, which has been great. However, they charge a premium rate for the quality of the facilities, and are incapable of consistent service. One of the main reasons for paying for their membership fee is to have access to a sauna. Unfortunately the men’s sauna is broken nearly every day. I train at the gym every morning and play tennis multiple times a week. I am lucky if I catch the sauna working once during all those visits. If you’re considering getting a membership at a tennis club, you should seriously consider all of the options locally; even if it means an extra bit of driving.

I love the this gym! Very clean, great classes, easy to get a court time and new workout equipment. My only complaint is that the men’s sauna isn’t working 90% of the time. It’s been like this for about a year. Why??

Clean gym with brand new equipment. It's never very busy here either. Friendly staff and top notch amenities. I love it here.

This gym is the one of the nicest gyms you'll find in the greater Salt Lake City area. I've been exercising in gyms for over two decades and the experience here is second to none. The equipment is all new and top of the line from Rogue Fitness. The trainers are very professional and serious athletes in their own right. They know their stuff to boot. My experience with the membership staff (Heather) was very pleasant. All gyms get negative reviews but most of the ones I'm reading about this gym seem totally fake. Heather was transparent in signing up both in pricing, length of agreement and costs for additional services (tennis, childcare etc). I'm almost tempted to not post this because I like that the weightlifting area has never had more than 10 people in it during the times I worked out. I'm told the owner is investing heavily in adding even more equipment. Excited for what the future holds.

The junior tennis coordinator Jackie has very poor interpersonal skills. Tried to sign up my daughters for a few USTA junior/youth tournaments hosted at their club this summer and she is not only very slow to respond but she is condescending when she does respond. Appears their junior tournaments, at least in the summers, attract mostly level USTA 1-3 level players so if your child is a 4 or higher a waste of your efforts. When I questioned Jackie about what level the players signed up were so far she accused me of trying to manipulate the draw! I simply questioned because I did not want my daughters to have to play against new level 1 and 2 players because that is not challenging for them and I did not want to drive in Friday traffic at 5:00 pm for matches which would not challenge them. One of my daughters played in their tournament the week prior and easily beat the two kids she got matched up with in the draw. I feel for a parent paying an entry fee and driving their child 40 min in traffic to their club it is a reasonable question and an appropriate answer would have been possibly... so far we have 6 players signed up and all are level 1 and 2 so it is your choice. Jackie should stick to Walleyball.

Management and customer service is very poor. Karen and Heather were not good to work with. We felt conned into a contract and they charged us for things we did not agree to. The membership is not worth it. You’ll have a better experience at any other gym.
