I want to start off by saying what a pleasure it's been staying at the Residence Inn Cottonwood location.
My mother, son, and I, have been staying here for quite a few months now. We initially were only staying for a hopeful short time, as the house we had just bought had hazardous issues, that we sadly were not notified of at the time of viewing. We have been hopeful that it is fixable, trying our best to find solutions.
Unfortunately things took a turn for the worst for my family and I. Leaving us in a very scary situation I did not ever see coming our way.
We have been fortunate enough to stay here while hopeful arrangements are in effect with the home.
Now putting more focus towards the Resistance In cottonwood location/staff. I can't even think where to begin at this point. The entire staff at the Residence Inn Cottonwood location has pushed beyond the limits of A1 Hospitality.
They don't just treat you as random guests, they treat you as family, they treat you as your comfort physically, mentally, and emotionally is beyond over top priority.
With the situation we have been in, there has been many kind hearted caring people just asking how my day is and if we're ok. Which has been more than enough, sometimes simple words or a single simple smile is all a human needs, and that is something they understand more than anything.
The bedrooms are phenomenal, way beyond what I expected, the amenities are fantastic, layouts are solid, the interior of the rooms are absolutely breath taking. Love the artwork, matches the beautifully painted color on the walls. Love that the laundry room as the view is beautiful to look at while doing laundry the pool I have yet to get in but from the looks of it people always seem so happy, filled with laughs and smiles, the breakfast, oh the food... my goodness, I love the food. But even better, amazingly it is always so quiet and peaceful! Always!! That being said there are all kinds of families that stay here, it's just insanely peaceful, which has also allowed myself to do my job more efficiently and at complete ease.
They always always ask if you need anything, anything at all, stating each available item thoroughly, as some guests can forget they have these things available to their use.
Honestly, this may sound cheesy, too perfect, or as if this is someone trying to "one up the competition", not at all, this is as real as you can imagine.
You can see that they take pride in their hotel as the rooms and all are very well kept and up to date. I have noticed a few reviews on here with negative remarks, and it still is an absolute shock to me as why there would be such words stated. Some peoples standards are so unbelievably high up, that they don't realize what an amazing hotel they are staying at.
The ridiculously good price they offer, you will not see at most hotels now days, especially not this well kept or the beyond solidly amazing staff.
All in all I honestly would hope others see it as a privilege to be able to happily stay in a hotel room, at this specific location.
The way the staff work together and the way they treat their residence's will forever shock me from this day on.
Absolutely 100% hotel to stay at when visiting salt lake, and or just for a nice get away.
This was my first time here, and definitely won't be my last. Ill never be able to pay back the gratitude they deserve, it's impossible.
My highest suggestion to those who come to stay, treat the staff and such like gold, as they put up with more then they should have to.
Thank you to the Residence Inn Cottonwood location's staff for treating everyone so well and showing that no matter the situation in peoples lives, their is always light through the darkest of clouds, they are there to provide the upmost comfortable way, to be exceptionally happy, during your every day stay.
A special massive thank y

Rooms are outdated and dirty. Couch had two large visible stains. Shower wall liner was cracked. Florescent lighting in the bathroom. Scuffed walls. Breakfast was pretty good.

Solid 3.5⭐️ good location, good parking, nice pool and outdoor areas. Includes pickleball court!
It’s very affordable too. Front desk check in took a lot longer than it should have as I had completed the standard mobile check in.
Rooms are spacious but dated. Renovations planned for next year.
I would return and recommend but manage your expectations.

The location of the hotel is perfect to access the highway and Cottonwood Canyon perfectly. The hotel staff and lobby is very clean, new and has that Marriott hotel look. But the rooms are spread out over the property in different buildings. Some of them are in the same building as the lobby and others have to be accessed by walking outside and back in the building you’re staying at. The rooms are set up like any other Residence Inn hotel but this one is definitely out dated. The room I had was very clean but had out dated cabinets for the kitchen, older couch and a bath tub shower. Yes, the rooms need to be updated but it’s nice because they all have electric fireplaces for the winter, which is a first for me with Residence Inn hotels. The location is very quiet and secluded for the most part. The main lobby doors get locked in the late evenings, only to be accessed by hotel guests and staff.

In my opinion the best place to stay if you're going to be in salt lake heated pool hot tub management is amazingly accommodating definitely five stars. And the surrounding trees and everything in the middle of the desert are beautiful waterfalls right up the road

Beautiful view of mountains. Nice, clean pool and hot tub. Really like that they are outside. Staff amazing, spacious rooms. Restaurants nearby. Seems to be mostly adult guests. Yay! Quiet, so able to sleep.

Old faculty. Smelly, old, and run down. Needs a upgrade. I love Marriott, but Residence Inn's need a refresh. Courtyard did. Stayed here only because I have a friends and family rate, and it was cheap.

There’s not much I am not going to be able to say bad about this place! The rooms are very spacious with large new updated televisions. The beds here are very comfortable and all of the furniture is comfortable to sit in. To be honest, even looking I couldn’t find even one maintenance issue with my room. The water pressure was great. The showerhead was excellent! I love the location of this hotel just on the edge of town. It’s easy to get in and out of. More over the staff here is amazing! Seda at the front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful when I first arrived and throughout my stay. I had one small issue while I was here and I have never had something addressed so quickly. Thank you very much to the general manager and your staff for taking your jobs, facility, and guests seriously. I will be sure to stay here next time I’m in town! ?

Arrived at 5:19 in the morning a because two Caucasian females refused to let me in to check in. I showed my id and gave them everything they needed to let them know I was onsite to check in.It was bad I had to show id at the door holding it up to the glass. My family watched me from the car wait 15 min to get into the hotel just to check in. After they ran my name like the police abs saw my status they let me in.I booked with my Marriott app, and the lady argued with me with a very stressful aggressive tone. I did not argue with her and time her that I’m sorry if I make her feel threatened by the way I look. This was a terrible experience and the worst part is I had to explain to my daughter what racism was since they saw me standing in the cold.I wrote the manager in a much more detailed email. I truly have not even received a call or a true apology. If your a black Person stay away from this Marriot. Take your money some where else

The tv was not working and I called front desk. They never called back. The bathroom was dirty, the sheets smelled old and bad. There was no coffee in the room. A little too pricey for bad

Not bad, but disappointing. The streaming on the TV barely worked, and despite multiple promises from staff that they knew the problem and someone would come fix it, no one ever did. Asked for housekeeping to come get the trash, said they’d be right up, no one ever came. We certainly were not in a rush, but someone should eventually show up, right?
