“Took my wife's 2013 Toyota RAV4 in for service. The dealer told my wife that her timing cover gasket was leaking oil and needed to be replaced. Cost? Over $3,000. There was a big oil stain where she parked. Ray called to tell us that there was no timing cover oil leak. When the Toyota dealer did the 120,000 mile maintenance, they flushed and refilled the transmission. When doing so, they tightened the drain plug but left the filler cap or plug, loose, causing transmission fluid to leak when running. We did have all new shocks and struts installed and they did a great job. Take your car to Action Auto for service and repair. Ray will treat you with honesty every time.

“Mike Flinn is outstanding, and Steve — his 2nd in command — is excellent as well. I genuinely regret not going to Flinn Auto Repair sooner. If they determine that there isn’t actually a problem, they don’t charge me. I’ve brought my car there at half a dozen times in the past year, for oil change, inspection, and mechanical issues and they only bill for actual work performed — I’ve walked out three times without having to pay anything because it didn't need fixing or it is too old of a car to get parts for. Car repairs are never cheap in general, but everyone at Flinn is kind, honest, and straightforward. That alone removes almost all worry and dread from the process.”

“This shop is amazing and so under the radar. Can you believe it’s been around since 1928! Incredible service, quick work for a major service. My car’s timing belt tensioner was rattling I called and they took me in same day, replaced the belt, water pump at half the cost of the dealer’s price, all within 24 hours in and out. Thanks Mike! I’ll be coming in here more often.”
“The guys were awesome and helped me get a diagnosis to initiate some warranty repairs from the place that did the repairs earlier this year. Without their diagnosis, the place that did the repairs was acting like nothing was wrong my car. I’ll be back but hopefully not for a while!”
“Leah, the salesperson who helped me today, was amazing! After arriving at the airport from traveling, we discovered we had a flat tire. We managed to fill it with enough air to get to the Sugar House Burt Brothers location, where I was greeted by Leah.
She and her team quickly inspected the tire, patched it, and then showed me how worn my other tires were — no pressure, just helpful information. I explained that I’d be switching to snow tires in a few weeks, and we agreed that my current tires would be fine until then.
When it’s time to take the snow tires off, I’ll be purchasing new all-weather tires — and you better believe I’ll be coming right back here for that purchase and service. Thank you, thank you!”

“Front wheel of 2017 Rav 4 was making a terrible squeaky noise. We thought maybe the bearings had gone bad but we were completely wrong. After a quick quality check and test ride the crew at “Steve’s Auto” found the problem to be not the bearings but the wheel cover was slipping because the clips on the cover was broken. “I took my pickup in to have the AC worked on they got it working and I took it home. Later I realized it wasn't working properly with the control switch, so I took it back and they found the problem after 2 days of working on it they fixed it and only charged me for the part. Any other place I believe would have charged me for all the work they did in those two days trying to figure out why it wasn't working properly they are great people they are honest and they do a great job.”
