Tried to get a Cashier’s check here to pay my first month of rent at a new apartment but the teller didn’t like my ID photo. She went a got a manager and instead of asking me any security questions or verifying my identity any of the ways that macu normally does they told me to go get a different form of ID because they didn’t believe my ID photo was of me. I like mountain america because of their excellent customer service and online banking but I will never be going back to this branch. Went to a different location after this incident and had no trouble verifying my identity with my ID.

Leaving 5 because MACU is awesome regardless. However this particular location has been a little "different" for a decade or so. Definitely not as friendly as all the other many locations. Especially today...Whoa Nelly! It was bad.

Don’t go to this bank, I went in with $500 cash and asked the employee that spoke Spanish to pay my credit card, she put the funds on my debit card without my permission and was somehow mistaken, I don’t think I could want to bank with them again, I thought they were loyal but no, not sorry to say.

My wife and I were 100% satisfied with a representative. She was verykind and helped us to complete opening an account. Simply excellent.Very pleasant to have business with her.

Just closed a mortgage with this location and it was the worst experience of any mortgage, or finance transaction I've ever endured. The team presents as inept (eg: can't answer questions, communication is terrible, emails not responded, and when they are, the question / need not addressed). No ability to share road ahead or set expectations. Tried to close the loan with less than 24hrs notice. No ability to set up auto pay through my Macu login. Had to call customer service, and after ten minutes learned another company is servicing, and was provided a phone number. The servicing company states they don't set up recurring and that should be done with Macu, so transferred back to Macu. Hashtag, circular reference.Do not engage with Macu for a loan. Serious knuckleheads. It's not rocker surgery. It's a bloody loan.

I have been a member of macu for years as they don't deserve to even be in capital letters. I contacted them in June of 2020 to let them know that my lungs were severely damaged due to Covid and that I needed help filing a claim with their "disability insurance" I had been paying for since 2014. So as I was directed to file my claim the claim was denied by the disability insurance due to me having Covid 1 week prior to reporting it so they called a "pre existing" condition, what a joke... Mind you I had plenty of Dr's notes I was not released to work, nor work from home due to the side effects of the medications. I called the credit union back to let them know about the situation, they said they didn't know what to tell me. I told them that I needed Covid relief (as spoken of in the Cares Act). I was told that they would work with me to pay as I could. I made payments any time I came in to cash (most of it from selling off my belongings in my home). In 9 months I should have paid $558.00, I paid $578.71. That was including a skip payment I was given, ended up paying anyways and was then hit with a late payment fee. I called in spoke with customer service (who had no clue) and ended up telling me that they couldn't do anything about the situation and for me to file bankruptcy or whatever I needed to do. This credit union sucks! AMERICA 1ST CREDIT UNION beats them 10 X over in every way possible!!!!

I have been banking at mountain America credit Union for a little over year since I 1st moved to Utah. I have been very satisfied with the service I have received. Many convenient locations in multiple States and areas.
