These guys did an amazing job! I had a great experience with their services when I needed them! My car alternator went out all the sudden and I needed to utilize their services in a pinch. They could not have helped me at a better time. My alternator was fixed THE SAME DAY and I was so grateful for their help. 5 out of 5 stars! Definitely recommend for anyone needing car services from people who do business well.

As an out-of-town touring musician coming through Salt Lake City, I greatly appreciated the clarity and professionalism I found at Mike Palmer Automotive. From the time I stopped in the shop to explain the issues I was having with my car to the time I picked it up, I felt I was heard, and respected. The work was all completed in a timely way. I was able to drive the car away the morning after I dropped it off. I'd certainly recommend Mike Palmer Automotive.

These guys are honest and knowledgeable! They replaced an upper control arm with bushings, upper ball joint and sway bar bushings and links on my old van in a day. Jesse, Chris, Jeremy and the boys were all very friendly and each took plenty of time to explain to me the various parts of the van anatomy and what their function is. Of course they asked my approval before doing anything that would cost me money. Jesse took time to explain to me how I can best take care of my old van moving forward, and things to look out for even as he knows I come from states away and may not come through the area again. He sent me a detailed invoice of parts and labor. They use quality parts and charge fair pricing. Keep up the honesty and it will get you far! I wouldn’t have known to come here in the first place if it weren’t for the great reviews from other folks. Thanks guys! ?

Mike Palmer Auto is the best!!! Jessy was amazing to work with, fixed the AC in my car that no other mechanic has been able to figure out. Best mechanic in SLC hands down (and better prices, too!)

Everyone here is very knowledgeable and helpful. They saved me from what could have been a disastrous accident by taking the time thoroughly look over my car. I have nothing but positive things to say about the people and the company. They also have a really great interface for understanding what tasks need to be done on the car, where you can decide what you want complete or not. Highly recommended this place!

Good mechanics with reasonable pricing. Most parts come with a warranty, which explains some markup on the parts.
I had taken my truck to 2 other shops before this for a general inspection (new to me, decently old, though) and they didn't find any issues. I started experiencing an issue and these guys were able to get me in a few days later.
I explained that I thought the problem was transmission related, which they could have gone with, but they found two other different issues that were pretty urgent to repair.
They were happy to answer any questions I had about repairs they were doing / their pricing for parts. This shop will be my go-to for car repairs.
