The are not the cheapest in the Valley but very honest and that is hard to find in this industry! I was helped by a gentleman named Phil. He was by far the most professional and pleasant man I've met! Showed me the issue with the old part and took the time to explain why it was an issue. Definitely recommend them to anyone that is in need of a mechanic in the Salt Lake area or the state for that matter! ?

I cannot recommend the team at Master Autotech enough! They were so professional, personable, and sympathetic to my problems. They also treated me with respect and explained everything to me like I was an equal. I've dealt with loads of sexism when it comes to mechanical personnel but the guys at Master talked to me like they would to anyone else. If you're a woman and worried about being ripped off or treated like a child go to Master Autotech. They are so transparent. They were fast too! They had my car finished in less than 48 hours, even though they had to pull my engine apart. These guys are amazing.

This shop has misled me twice, once about making or programming keys and second over an imbolizer statement where he indicated the scenario that occured with my car made sense it was the IMBOLIZER after I told him I had codes ran and showed failed imbolizer. Today he denied ever relating it made sense car issue was Imbolizer and indicated with ease he would look at it. Today not only did manager outright lie about his verbage he became aggressive and hostile toward me (anger always denotes guilt) when I told him I had proof he lied and misled Ms regarding keys and imbolizer. WHAT KIND OF MIDDLE AGED OVER SIX FOOT MAN AGGRESSIVELY COMES AT A 62 YEAR OLD WOMAN YELLING AND SCREAMING AT HER? I FELT UNSAFE AND THREATENED. WHEN THE MANAGER REALIZED I HAD CAUGHT HIM LYING HE PROCEEDED TO THROW ME OUT OF THE SHOP. I CALMLY TOLD STAFF I WILL LEAVE ONCE YOU PLEASE GIVE ME THE CONTACT INFO OF CORPORATE OR REGIONAL. THIS INFURIATED THE MANAGER AND HIS UNDERSTAFF FOLLOWED SUIT BY REFUSING TO GIVE ME HEADQUARTERS INFO. MANAGER WAS A OUT IF TO PHYSICALLY ESCORT ME OUT OF SHOP WHEN I GRABBED BUSINESS CARD AND LEFT IN OWN. I TOLD MANAGER I HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS AT THIS SHOP AND FOR YOU TO LIE AND YELL AT ME IS UNCALLED FOR. HE THEN SAID I WAS A LIAR AND HADN'T SPENT A DIME WITH THEM. AT 62, AFTER SPENDING A FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS AT THIS SHOP? THE LUG OF A MANAGER THREW ME OUT OF THE SHOP LIKE I WAS A DOG. DEALING WITH MECHANICS AS A SINGLE OLDER LADY IS INTIMIDATING ENOUGH BUT TODAY I FELT PHYSICALLY UNSAFE. MY THOUSANDS SPENT MATTER NOT TO THIS MANAGER. WHAT KIND OF MIDDLE AGED MAN WHO IS THE MANAGER PHYSICALLY COMES TOWARD ME, YELLS AND AGGRESSIVELY THROWS A 62 YEAR OLD WOMAN OUT OF THEIR SHOP WHERE I HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS IN THIS SHOP TO HE CALLED A LIAR? TOLD I HAVEN'T SPENT A DIME THERE AS HE THREW ME OUT AND REFUSED TO GIVE ME HIS AUTHORITY CONTACTS. THE UNDERSTAFF FOLLOW HIS BELLIGERENT BEHAVIOR . I LEFT THERE CRYING TODAY KNOWING THE MANAGERS AGGRESSIVE DISPLAY OF ANGER TOWARD A CUSTOMER WHO HAS TRUSTED IN THIS SHOP AND SPENT THOUSANDS ONLY FORTIFIED HIS GUILT IT IS NOT SAFE NOR WISE TO HAVE THIS TYPE OF PERSON MANAGING THE SHOP. MOST OF THE TIME STAFF IS IN BACK AREA OR OFFICE LOOKING AT CARS,OR TALKING ABOUT THEIR PERSONAL INTERESTS AND I HAVE STOOD THERE FOR FIVE MINUTES WAITING FOR THEM TO FINISH THEIR PERSONAL DISCORD . THIS IS THE WRONG PERSON TO HAVE AS A MANAGER UNLESS SS THIS COMPANY AGREES 62 YEAR OLD WOMEN SHOULD HE THROWN OUT LIKE A DOG, MONEY TAKEN, NO RESPECT SHOWN.I URGES YOU TO BOYCOTT THIS MANAGER, LOCATION. I have proof of all I relay. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP. IT SHOULD NOT GET ONE STAR. MANAGER AT MAIN STREET UNPROFESSIONAL BULLY WHO INSTRUCTS STAFF TO DO SAME
THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT OUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS AND SHAME ON THIS SHOP. STAY AWAY.

I am a social worker at a non-profit organization. I took my kids on a field trip near City Creek, and while turning onto SW Temple St, my power steering fluid gave out quickly. I called an associate at Master Autotech and told him that I need to get these kids back safely, and since money is scarce for us, if he can help us out for free. He obliged, and after arriving to their location, he was able to help us out within a matter of minutes, and both myself the kids made it back home safely.

Amazing service Phil and team were quick and knowledgeable. We were on a family road trip when we noticed a loud noise coming from the engine bay. Scary with five kids and 500 miles to go. The team at mater auto tech diagnosed the issue and had us back on the road within an hour. Thank you Phil, Juan, and Juan for your help!
Update: thank you again gents we made the drive back to Colorado. I would highly recommend this team to anyone who needs help.

Called in the morning, dropped the truck off at noon got a new muffler/catalytic converter, picked the truck up in the afternoon.

Juan and Phil are by far the kindest mechanics I've ever met; they've helped me with numerous car issues over the past 4 months and have always gone above and beyond to make sure everything was fixed. They've always been upfront and honest with me, and I cannot recommend them enough (especially if you're a single 20 something year old female who doesn't have a ton of knowledge about cars).

Last winter my window got stuck down. They not only fixed it quickly but they offered to let me keep it there overnight to make sure no one got in it. Today, I called because I needed my battery terminals tightened. Phil told me I could come right in and he would help me. He replaced one of the terminals and tightened the other one. I was stressed about it because I would stop the car and then it wouldn't start so I would have to jiggle the terminals to get it to start. I was very grateful that they were willing to do it spur of the moment like they did and even replace a part for me. Phil is awesome! Thank you so much!

Our car needed new battery fasteners that go around the post. It's a special kind of attachment. Being concerned because the car had stalled because the attachment was not tight. She talked to Phil and Phil said kindly bring it down I think I can help you out. He had the exact fastener somewhere in his shop and kindly helped my wife out. The way he made her feel was amazing he was thorough professional and downright kind. You tall is blessed to have a shop like this in it..

I went in for exhaust work on my 2023 Dodge challenger scatpack 392. I brought in my own resonators and had them replace the stock mufflers. In and out time was very timely and the welding was so beautifully done. I’m very pleased with the quality and customer service that was provided. I will be bringing other vehicles in for exhaust work to these guys. Thank you Don for the great work.
