I work next door from this Salon. I have always wanted to get a brochure but nobody is ever there. Today as driving by I noticed a car so I walked in to get a brochure. As soon as I walked in I received an uninvited look. After reading the reviews I realize it's probably because of how I'm dressed. I am a massage therapist and wear gym attire. Anyhow I asked for a brochure he said he does not have any I asked him for a card and he told me he's the only one there, as he handed me a card he told me he's the owner. I asked him how much for a trim on my ends and he quoted me $55 I asked for a highlight and he told me $100. Now I haven't received any services so I can not rate him correct. I will tell you his salon is beautiful and very inviting however his prices are on the pricy side which explains why there isn't ever anybody there, and I'm sorry but to try to enforce a dress code on your clients is a little absurd.. I for one do not want to wear my expensive clothing to get my hair, dyed and cut, but that's my opinion.

I come to M. Hovey for the quality, the care and the professional atmosphere at this salon. Julie did some waxing for me and it was a great experience! She made me feel as comfortable as possible and made sure to cater to my sensitive skin while recommending some products for me to use to help with the sensitivity. Michael is the owner there and he is a great person and also does very high end quality work. Would highly recommend 100%Service: Body Waxing

I would leave ZERO stars if I could. They’ll kick you out for wearing a shirt that they feel shows too much of your body. Never go here. Women should support women and not shame them for being confident

Sexist and unprofessional. Refused to give my friend a hair cut because they didn’t approve of her outfit, saying she wasn’t wearing enough clothes. Despite the fact that It’s ridiculously hot, she should not be refused a service because of what she looks like or is wearing. What a weird & horribly rude discrimination. What people wear do not harm others & to refuse a hair cut because you want to control your customers’ autonomy is sad and creepy. And to try to excuse it with a “dress code” excuse is lame & avoidant. Just take accountability. Please do better and treat people better.
