I went out of my way to take my 2004 Accord to Ken Garff because of the good reviews, but sadly they were very overrated. My rear defroster wasn't working, so before I took it in, I checked the relay and the fuse. Both were working properly, so I decided I needed the experts to fix it.Once I took it in, they sent me a list of recommended service amounting to $3,059. Two of those recommended services had been done within the last two weeks, so that made me suspicious. I declined the extra services and just asked for the rear defroster to be done. When I got my vehicle back, they charged my $255, and all they did was change the working fuse and working relay. The labor was itemized at $208! I did the same service myself in less than five minutes. I didn't complain, because I figured if the rear defrost was working, I could just go with it.But the defroster is still not working! So, they recommended work I didn't need, replaced working parts, and charged me $208 for a five-minute job that didn't change anything.I'm very frustrated and won't be using them again.

I just wanted to make sure and let the management and general public know how satisfied we were with our recent visit. We were at the beginning of a long road trip in our brand new 2023 Honda Pilot and had a “smart entry system problem”. Our car wouldn’t start or recognize our key fob in southern New Mexico. We finally got it going and went to a Honda dealer there and they recommended having our module replaced. We opted to drive straight through (not turning off the car) and taking it to Ken Garff Honda in Salt Lake City (since we’d planned on staying there a few days anyway). What a great decision this was! We are especially grateful to our point person, service advisor Natalie Durfee. She communicated well, keeping me in the loop and was so helpful and pleasant. We felt very well taken care of. She helped make a frustrating disruption much more bearable by her excellent customer care and demeanor. Thanks to Ken Garff Honda and especially to Natalie Durfee for your excellent service.

I have honestly never been this pissed to write a review for a car dealership. I'm originally from Maryland but I currently live in Wyoming and went down to Salt Lake City for a business meeting. Before leaving the area, I needed to get a wheel alignment and there was something making a noise when I would turn left or right. Wasn't sure if it was related to the alignment or not. Turns out it was completely different from the wheel alignment. There was a pencil that had fallen into my air duct. The civics air duct looks like a "U" shape, hence the pencil moving with the vehicle turn by turn, left or right. The dealership told me the car was ready to pick up. When I got home we had a bad snow storm but I had to check something in the glove box. When I went to get into the glovebox through the front passenger door, I noticed the passenger interior middle panel was not in the same condition that I had dropped it off at the dealership before being worked on. At first I thought it was just scratched and then realized the panel was completely broken and just put back on without being brought to my attention. I just paid over $300 for this service!!! Look, I understand sometimes they do have to break parts in order to get to whatever they need to inspect but the fact that it wasn't brought to my attention or even offered to be complimentary replaced?!?! That is so unprofessional!!! When I hand them my fob for maintenance I hand over my trust to take proper care of my car-and they completely lost my trust. I wouldn't have been upset if they were just like "unfortunately we had to damage a part of your car in order to find what was creating the noise. We apologize and have gone ahead and ordered a new part to be installed, free of all charges." Like why is this so difficult to do?!?! Anyway, I called them first thing in the morning the very next day as by the time I got home the day prior, they were closed. I had to talk to 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE in order for this dealership to FINALLY comply and confess they were at fault AND DO THE RIGHT THING. At first Becky literally had the audacity to ask if I did it myself, then they said there was nothing they could do and would have to check the cameras, then they couldn't answer my question of what the results of looking at the cameras were, then they pushed me around and said they weren't paying for it and instead wanted me to come back for an oil change??? HAHAHA what the actual f***?!? And then they tried telling me that the car was drivable, so it could be replaced for my next visit?!? Do you really think I'm coming back to this place for any kind of maintenance?!?? I finally had enough of the bullshit and got in touch with corporate. It was hilarious how fast the GM, Brandon got in touch with me. He is really rude and didn't want to help me because I'm a girl. During my lovely conversation with General Manager Brandon, I could hear him slamming his fist on the desk he was at. He asked me if I wanted to go to a different dealership to have it replaced and I told him no. He then asked me why and I told him because you guys damaged my property, so you guys are going to fix it. It's really very simple yet he was making things difficult for me in the hopes of not only ending the conversation, but to end the conversation on his terms rather than to the customers request. I told my dad what happened and he was furious at this point and did a 3 way call to Brandon, with myself on the line but I didn't say anything-just put it on mute, listened the whole time, and had a really good laugh. It was honestly hilarious how Brandon's entire demeanor changed when my dad asked to speak with him and then asked why his daughter was being treated this way and said that this was completely unacceptable. My dad repeated everything I did and Brandon offered to pay for everything without all the nonsense he gave me. I think the most laughable part of the conversation was when Brandon told my dad that he has a daughter as well and w

I was blown away with the level of customer service I received. First of all, I love how they send me a video of all the service they’re providing me, along with explanations of what they are doing. I dropped my car off for what I thought was just an oil change and they ran a whole diagnostic on my car, tested my battery (which was underperforming, so they replaced it), topped off my washer fluid, checked my wiper blades, rotated my tires washed the inside and outside of my car… I was speechless! Listen guys, I don’t care if this location is out of the way for you, you gotta go here! Also, thank you to Don, the shuttle driver. He was a delight, I was very grateful for the door to door service.

I’ve been coming here for years to service my 2001 Honda Accord. Shyanne is hands down the best service rep I have ever dealt with. She is super helpful and really goes above and beyond. Thanks for all your help!!

I work for Ken Garff and my husband and I came in today for an oil change. Our advisor, Danielle Fisher, was friendly and professional. She took the time to explain what looked good on our car and what things needs to be handled in the future. She represents our core values. We will be coming back in the future.

We recently bought 2 brand new cars there, the Passport and the Civic. Though, it took like 3 or 4 months to order them but they were worth it. I wanted to give a shout out to Edsel C and Zeb H who went above and beyond. Thank you!

All I needed was an air bag sensor to replaced and it was such an ordeal. I went back and forth 3 separate times because they kept ordering the wrong parts. I think there must have been a lot of miscommunication going on between departments. It was just super frustrating when I went to pick up my car only for nothing to get done. It was a pain to keep rescheduling and felt like a waste of time. Customer service is spotty, sometimes you'll get people who are super helpful and informative, and then other times they'll keep it short and dry - only offering up info when you specifically ask. I get accidentally ordering the wrong parts the first time, but by the second it's like what are you guys doing???

Visiting from out of town, the friendly service staff at Ken Garff Honda helped us out big time. Not only they found a moment on their busy schedule to quickly patch a tire for us, but they would not let us pay for it and they even washed and vacuumed the car. My daughters enjoyed the playroom and I enjoyed the complimentary coffee and snacks. Folks driving Hondas in SLC are lucky to have these guys around. Thank you again.

I got online to schedule an oil change and found out my car had an active recall, so I scheduled the recall as well. The appointment was a week away from time of scheduling. On the date of the appointment, I was told it would take 4-5 hours to accomplish both tasks and that the shuttle service did not travel far enough to take me home and bring me back. After 4 hours, I received a call and was told the oil change could happen but they did not have the part for the recall and it wouldn't arrive until 3 days later. I could not get back that day before they closed to pick up my car and was without a car until the 3 days had passed. Then, I called in on the afternoon of the third day for an update, only to be told that they still didn't have the part and my car had been sitting with no active repair. I ended up picking up my car and intending to return for the recall, but was told when I picked it up, that I needed to call to confirm the part was there before I brought it back for the recall. Even though they had ordered a part FOR MY CAR, it would not be reserved for my vehicle and therefore, would not be guaranteed to be available. I will be going elsewhere for the recall repair and will only go back to this dealership for things that I cannot do elsewhere. Very, very frustrating.

This service department is truly the gold standard that all dealerships should strive for. We were traveling across country on a long trip and had the oil life alert go past zero and a b6 maintenance alert. The service department was busy, and we had no appointment. Despite that, Danielle fit us in so that we were back on the road in only an hour and a half. The dealership is like new and the waiting area is very nice. The techs texted us videos of their inspections after doing them. Amazing. Never seen that before. Danielle was quick to let us know the pickup was ready, and the cost of the maintenance was very reasonable. We found the pickup very clean inside and the outside washed. The place seems so well run, I can only imagine that they would be a great place to buy a car. I wish we had a dealership like this back were we live in California.

I must say that Eddie Jeppson made my day! His enthusiasm is what we as customers need when making a big decision like buy a car. He made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process and I was successful in getting my desired car. He was very detailed with his explanation about the car and he gives this soothing reassurance that he'll always be there to help. I forgot the name of the other gentleman who was working Eddie but his smile and approach is beyond incredible. Nina too was such a sweetheart, she made sure i get the BEST deal from my previous car as to Eddie and the other gentleman. I can't stop smiling at how amazing they worked together to make this possible. Thank you Ken Garff Honda.

Wow!! I’m visiting SLC from out of state and my oil pan cover on my 2020 Honda Insight got destroyed from my poor choices of driving through a construction zone.Garff Honda was so great! The service department was incredibly kind and helpful. They had the part in stock and had it replaced in less than 90 minutes. Also, free coffee and soda in the lounge. I was expecting to pay an arm and leg since I’m from CA but it all got fixed at an extremely reasonable price. Even on the areas highlighted in my multi-point inspection, they didn’t try to hard sell me or up sell me on anything. They even washed/vacuumed my car!Hopefully, I won’t need to be back but if I do, I fully trust Garff Honda to do a great job. Who knows, when I’m in the market for a new Honda, I may be back here to Utah!
