John was fantastic. As he is a private lender, he was able to get us a low rate and coached us through the home buying process. He educated my husband and I on ways to negotiate with our seller and based on his advice- we were able to get our closing costs covered. Great experience!

In February of this year, we reached out to John about being interested in purchasing a home. He guided us on our credit worthiness and told us all the things we need to do to increase our chances of approval and maximizing the approval amount. He guided us on the different loan options and tried his best on giving us the lowest rate. During the approval process, John and his team were extremely helpful and responsive. They promptly responded to all our queries. We formally applied for the loan in mid June and were able to close by mid July all because of John and his teams effort. I highly recommend John and his team!

The team provided top notch service. We felt prepared for everything and with the rapidly changing interest rates, they were working hard in the background to secure the best deals they could.
John took a significant amount of time to educate us about the different rate options. Sara was incredible about making sure that all the documents were accounted for and even though there were emergencies in the final hours from the title company and the lender… Sara handled it like a champ and worked incessantly to make sure we could close on time!

I was looking for information on down payment assistance and low money down home loans. A mortgage consultant from Home Quest Lending called me. He was very nice as I explained we did not have perfect credit. He explained it would be best to just do a soft credit pull to see where we were. His information was no different than what I had access to. He told me to get me the best options we needed to raise our scores. All he said was to pay down the cards. We did. We paid quite a lot. Every week he said he would call to check up on the progress. He did not. I called him. The same thing happened week after week. No actual help. Then he said maybe what we can do is add your husband as a authorized user on to a debt with a high limit and low balance. As to who this person was he did not say just that they have access to older accounts. Super sketchy. Eventually we felt that we were not being given accurate information and he was a good talker just no real action. That went on for 2 months. We are now under contract for a new home with a local lender who helped us improve our credit(hard credit check showed much higher scores than the soft credit check)they told us precisely what to do and we had our down payment assistance, pre approval and under contract in 3 weeks time. Home Quest Lending was a complete waste of time.In response to your reply: Well WOW congratulations on my hard work! I empathize, a bad review does hurt ones feelings. But now is the time to learn and grow from ones mishaps. You have your experience, we have ours. Your company DID NOT help. It looks like we all just wasted our time. I wish the best to all of you. Have a golden day! ;)

Worked with John Stephens on a new build. The builder kept pushing back closing due to covid delays, manning issues, supply shortages. The entire process from start to closing took about 20 months. John was there the entire time easy to reach. Even on vacation he still kept up with me and Sara Carter who helped me close as well.They were even able to squeeze out a sweet 3.1% rate at the end of July when everyone else was offering 5% and 6%. I highly recommend Home Quest Lending to anyone looking to finance a home.
