Originally called a few years back to ask questions about a 1995 D90 I was going to buy sight unseen from California. I was just some guy calling out of the blue, but Tom and Bill sat on the phone with me for an hour. I didn't end up buying that one, but ironically awhile later they had a customer selling theirs, which I ended up buying. These guys do amazing work and are very reasonably priced. As you might expect when dealing with experts in their field, it can be hard to get an appointment -- but it's well worth the wait.

This has been a long time coming, but for some reason never got around to it.Spoke to Tom years ago about buying a defender and he did a great job providing insight on what to look for. I bided my time for the right defender and was lucky to snag one that Tom had already worked on.Along with providing history of work for the vehicle, he has been an invaluable resource to go to whenever I take on small projects for my defender.Unfortunately, they are booked all the time because they do the job right. Luckily, Tom is always happy to share insight and experience.

So Bill and his shop replaced the brake master cylinder on my d2 in a one day turn around. We were in a pinch and these guys came through when the mechanic down the street wouldn’t touch my vehicle. Also the quality of the work was solid. I brought the vehicle in because the brakes were not all together confidence inspiring. They now work flawlessly.

Last year I took my Discovery to Great Basin Rover. Bill the owner is very knowledgable and friendly and I was convinced my vehicle would be taken care of. I spent over $11,000.00 dollars in upgrades and repairs with them from new power steering pumps to new and upgraded drive shafts, to lower gear ratio's and new and upgraded differential's. Being an off road entusiast I was extremetly excited to pick up the vehicle and drive back home to Henderson, NV. On the way back trouble started. The brand new power steering pump failed and the vehicle nearly caught on fire.the Diff's then failed and I had to wait until they sent replacements to dealer who still charged me for labor. The "upgraded" driveshafts failed next and I had to pay $1200 dollars to replace the front driveshaft. The windshield they replaced leaks everytime it rains and Bill Davis the owner stopped returning my calls. Complete nighrtmare !! I would have been better off taking the vehicle to the dealer and paid a little more and never gone through great basin, better known in my circles as worst basin. Do not trust these guys. This Bill Davis is a fraud who refused to return my car after I brought it for work and I am currently involving the police and attorneys to obtain my car and get my money back. Don’t do business with this firm under any circumstances and be aware that this company is defunct and has not filed corporate paperwork for years.

These guys know their stuff! Bill and Tom are always helpful and knowledgeable about any aspect of a Rover, I've had my Discovery serviced there, bought parts that I put on my self, regardless, they are always very helpful and traffic you with respect.

I’m biased, but I absolutely love this place. Fantastic mechanics. Bill is a phenomenal guy that knows his stuff. And they have a wide knowledge of defenders and series land rovers and how to best approach anything on them.
