We explored our options with quite a few shops to fix our transmission and these guys were the first ones we came by who didn't jerk us around. Diagnosed the problem quickly and got to work. Thanks for the help, nice to have that problem off my shoulders. will return for future needs!

The Freeway team in Salt Lake did what my local mechanic could not; they diagnosed not one but two mysterious sounds in my car.The team, at a time when the shop looked very busy, added me on to the schedule to check out my concerns.Dan, Sean and perhaps others could have stopped when they discovered it wasn’t a transmission issue as part of a warranty followup, but they didn’t.While on thehoist, they made a small adjustment, and then suggested a trusted Volvo mechanic to further confirm what they found, and fix the problem.That’s service.Thank you !

Keith at Freeway Transmissions & Clutches was very friendly and personable. After reading the reviews and talking with Keith, I decided that I would trust him with our Yukon. It had coasted to a stop the night before after driving from Mesa Arizona and stopped 4 miles from our son's home in West Jordan. I had the vehicle tow to Freeway Transmissions after talking with Keith and getting a tour of his shop. He was up front with what it might cost as it would likely require a replacement transmission which is what I expected as this model Yukon has a history of transmission issues. It was towed in on Friday evening and on Monday, Keith sent me photos of the transmission. I gave the go ahead and he was able to have it completed by Thursday evening. We drove back to Mesa on Saturday with on issues. I am extremely happ-y with the work that Freeway Transmissions did and would highly recommend this shop.

I thought I had a transmission problem and had talked with a couple of repairs shops. I finally took my 4Runner to Freeway Transmission and they found I had a electrical issue - the internal and external wiring harness pins were corroded. They were thorough with explanations and the repair was about 1/3 of what I expected to pay to have my transmission rebuilt. I would recommend them as skilled, honest, and thorough.Service: Electrical

Dan and his staff of skilled transmission mechanics set a new HIGH standard of competence, skill, patience, and diligence in the work they did on installing a remanufactured transmission and new clutch assembly on our aging 1999 Toyota 4 Runner.After 4 months of searching, first our local Toyota dealership in Pocatello and then through several independent shops for someone that could replace our failing clutch and transmission, in desperation I called them from Pocatello. Instead of willy nilly ordering a new transmission they first had me bring our 4 Runner to their shop in Salt Lake City to accurately diagnose the problem so I wouldn't have to purchase a transmission if it was not necessary. After their careful examination it was determined a new one was needed. After 4 months of fooling around with shops in Pocatello, they easily ordered (in 10 minutes) a correct re-manufactured transmission and in 2 weeks they had it installed it along with a new clutch and associated clutch parts. After a 500 mile recheck which was perfect we are driving around like kings of the road. They even helped us locate the parts for our air conditioner and the right people to install it in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Their client relations were exemplary, their mechanical skills are first rate and their prices were fair in the extreme. If you have drive train issues, even in an aging vehicle, why would anyone take their vehicle anywhere else? My only issue is when are they going to open a shop in Idaho? They are the real deal in every respect. Do yourself a big favor and use these guys!Service: Transmission

Recently I had my 2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in for a transmission problem. They diagnosed that I needed a new transmission as the current one was shot and could not be repaired. Freeway Transmission replaced the transmission, but the running temperature was too high and they were not satisfied. So they put in a second transmission with the same result. The company then tried an auxiliary cooler and it worked - temperature problem fixed. They installed this auxiliary cooler at no charge. The goal was to make the customer (me) happy - I was happy!Also, the front drive line needed to be balanced. This work was completed and I took home with my new transmission and auxiliary cooler. On the way, I heard a noise or vibration that was not there before. I took it back and they rebalanced the front drive and the rear drive line, just to make sure. There is no vibration and the noise is gone.I worked with Dan Humphrey all along the way and he was great! He called me several times during the repair process to keep my informed and up-to-date. These guys stuck with me through everything. I had so many questions about my 4L60E/Transfer case install , and they were exceptionally patient and forthcoming with information and guidance. Never once did I ever feel like I made mistake doing business here. These guys made me feel welcome in their place of business, and I was always happy to come in and visit with them. ??????
