The customer service agents encountered were professional, helpful, and pleasant. The vehicle was perfect for our family of 7 and it served us very well throughout our vacation. The vehicle was clean, new, mechanically sound, and comfortable. The price was very reasonable for 2 weeks of use. The whole experience was pleasant from pickup to drop off at the airport. Thank you Fox and Fox employees. Our family vacation was full of great memories for our family to treasure and you played a big roll in helping it all take place. Thank you!

Will never rent a car here again. Found this company through Expedia and the price listed was very reasonable (hence why we decided to go with this company). When we arrived for our rental car, we were told they didn't have any car sizes for what we already paid for, was pressured by the sales associate to pay for extra add-ons that she told me I HAD to have (I didn't), and then when I got the final bill and saw it was upwards of $1500 (!), I went back into the office to talk to the manager. The sales associate saw that I was heading back into the office and waited there for me (I assume to stop me from talking to the manager). She was extremely patronizing and rude. Fortunately, I was able to talk to the manager and he was very easy to work with and very understanding. However, over the course of our rental, I kept getting several emailed receipts indicating I had already turned in the car when I didn't. Finally, when I did turn in the car, the bill was twice what I thought I was paying (albeit less than the $1500 they were trying to charge me originally). All this is to say that it was a major headache renting from here and I would never recommend Fox to anyone. You'd be better off renting a car somewhere a little pricier, just to save yourself the runaround. I know that's what I'm going to do next time.

I will never rent a car from Fox ever again. The customer service is horrible and the cars are not nice. Our car was dirty when we picked it up and was not the type of car we reserved. It is a long shuttle drive from the airport to their off site location. I hope you save yourself the hassle and don't rent from here either. If you do, bring a magnifying glass with you to check for any tiny blemishes on the vehicle and make sure to note it on their little piece of paper. Focus especially on the windshield. They charged us an extra $50 when we returned the vehicle for the tiniest little nick on the windshield, saying that it wasn't there before because I didn't mark it on the paper. I'm sure it was already there, because no one else would have been able to see it either. Being ripped off that extra money is one thing, but it's the principle that makes me upset. The horrible manager at this location must have a friend in the rock chip repair business who is in on this racket. You can barely see the tiny nick. I have a picture of it and it doesn't even show up in the photo. I have never been treated so bad renting a car at any other rental company. Save yourself from being ripped off and go somewhere else. Do not rent from Fox!!

DO NOT USE THEM! If I could give zero stars I would. Customer service is terrible. First of all, after the long wait to get the keys, it took another 15 minutes for the staff member to even find our car in the parking lot because we couldn’t find it. He had no idea where it was. The car was not what we reserved, and it was not clean. While looking over the car for any major damage, we wrote down what we found, but because the car was dirty, we did not see a very tiny rock chip on the windshield. It blended in with the dirt on the windshield. We took very good care of the car while we drove it, and did not get ANY rock chips. When we returned the car, they charged us for the smallest rock chip that did not happen while with us. They didn’t notice it previously, and sent us the car like that, and we are getting charged for it. NONE of the staff was understanding or would listen to us at all. Terrible customer service, we will never use them again and I hope people read the reviews and will also know not to use them.

We were told at the counter that we could not drive to the state we planned on driving to. No previous language in the booking stating that states in America were off limits.

I was nervous after reading the reviews. I am glad that I stayed with Fox Rent A Car! From the reviews I was able to learn from the others experiences. It was quite a walk from the terminal to the shuttle pick up area. I was able to push my pick up time by 30 minutes the night before my trip to count for the walking time and the time waiting for the shuttle (can be 15-30 minutes). Skylar took care of me and was very kind and answered all my questions! Car was clean on the inside and out. I did opt to purchase the bumper to bumper coverage due to the fact I would be doing quite a bit of driving on my trip in Salt Lake, Northern Utah, and Idaho. I didn’t want to have to worry about and issues with the car. I am glad that I did. The rocks from the freeway and the windshield, did not get along. But knowing I was covered provided me with peace of mind! The return process was simple. Again, since I had bumper to bumper coverage and damage was covered! I waited about 10 minutes for the shuttle and back to the airport I went. Got my receipt within 20 minutes and was good to go. I will say, even with the cost of the rental and full coverage, the total price was the best price I could find! You definitely need to plan since this rental is off site. I planned an hour for pick up after I landed and an almost an hour for drop off to make sure I made it to the airport in time. Any questions I had, I called their customer service number and was able to get answers and quickly!

I arrived 1 hour late due to flight delay. First words spoken to me "I don't think you have a reservation" followed by "You're late, we don't have your car". I noticed 6 vehicles on the lot and none were offered to me. The two young girls working kept making the point that I was late like it was my fault... I will NEVER rent from this company again, and I will ensure NO ONE I know will either. That was a really crappy first and last experience with this company.

40 minute wait for shuttle. 30 customers, 1 person working counter with 4 employees sitting in “office.” Each customer taking at least 25 minutes. Insanely horrible service. Not worth any money that may have been saved.

So obviously everyone’s experience will be totally different but I do want to personally thank Sky for making our experience very nice. She has an incredible personality! She was so friendly, efficient, helpful, and clearly an asset to the company and this location in Salt Lake City. The shuttle was there within 15 min and we were honest the counter quick. I think the price point was worth it and the service was very good. THS k you Sky for making us feel like your number one customer!

Don’t use this company. Nice enough but it is way off site. After getting there, only two people at the desk to help a bus load of people. If you’re not in a hurry then you might like it. Too far away for me.

Slowest place ever. No sense of urgency. Will not be coming back here. I think it's just a fox thing. They're extremely slow in Florida as well. Always short staffed.

I recently rented a car from Fox Rent a Car, and while there were a few positives, my overall experience was mixed.
The initial pickup was frustrating. The staff, including the manager, were unfriendly, and I was unexpectedly asked for my passport, even though I was traveling from Canada to the US. The pickup instructions did not mention this, and they wouldn't accept my Nexus Trusted Traveler card. As a result, I had to walk over an hour back to my AirBNB to retrieve my passport, which was a huge inconvenience.
The car I received (a Toyota 4-Runner) was decent, but it wasn’t clean, and there was no windshield washer fluid, which I had to purchase myself for $8. On the plus side, they did let me choose the car I wanted, which was a nice touch.
On the bright side, the car return process was smooth. The staff at drop-off were friendly, and the shuttle back to the airport was on time, efficient, and easy to board.
Overall, while the return process was pleasant and the car itself was fine, the issues with customer service and the condition of the vehicle at pickup made the experience less than ideal. Based on this, 3 stars feel fair.
