I was referred to Clarks by a friend and was quite impressed when she told me they had once told her she would most benefit by going to their competition. I first mentioned it to her because I noticed how healthy business seemed on my way to work everyday and inquired.
I found them extremely polite, curteous, patient and honest. I would also highly recommend Clark's to anyone, friend or foe.

Extremely pleasant shop to work with. Very high level of communication and great transparency. Devon was wonderful to work with and helped me out of a very high stress situation.

Love this place! I’ve never felt like I was getting the whole truth at other places but people like Devon and shops like Clark’s refresh my faith in humanity. They are always willing to work with me and I never feel like I’m getting the run around. 10 out of 10! Would recommend.

i am very sad to write a review like this because i know clark’s is a local business with a lot of great, glowing reviews. while i don’t think any of those people are liars, i do think there are a few things that clark’s can do better for all of its customers, new and old.
the background: my 2014 subaru impreza’s car horn stopped working from the steering wheel. i checked everything i could and found that likely the clock spring in the wheel was broken or worn down, but felt uncomfortable taking apart the wheel myself to diagnose because of the airbag. before i could take it in, i unexpectedly had to get all of my tires replaced while out of town on a road trip. after i got my tires replaced, my ABS, check engine, oil at temp, hill assist and skid assist lights all came on at once. because the car was physically driving fine, i figured a sensor had been bumped or broken during tire replacement.
after i got home i took it into clark’s on wednesday 5/22, asked them to please check if my clock spring needed to be replaced and to see if any of my sensors were broken. the front desk person told me they needed to do a FULL diagnostic exam. i said OK, they called me back 7 hours later & said my car needs 6,000$ worth of repairs “to be functional again”.
when i picked the car up i asked if they could please explain to me what was going on. the receptionist responded “i sent you the report, everything you need to know is in there.” i told them i didn’t have any kind of report in my email and he said “oh, whoops!” and texted me a link. i found that this “report” is a bunch of line items with shorthand notes and intermittent pictures, with half of the notes being incorrect or irrelevant to the car health (things like not having an oil change sticker present or my license plate & car registration being labeled as “no working” even though i have a license plate ((it’s shown in the picture)) and my car is up to date in registration. there’s a separate line for license plate light which was fine. additionally, there is a photo or two in there that isn’t even from my car as the dash is completely different.) the receptionist was dismissive saying that he couldn’t give me anything detailed because he didn’t have a parts estimate. i had to ask if my car is even drivable & he finally said “i don’t want to give you the impression your car will fall apart on your way home, you just need to address these things within the next year.” on top of all of that at the very end i got a spiel about giving out referral business cards and getting mailed a 20$ bill. it left a money-grabbing, icky taste in my mouth.
i would advise clark’s to get a full time, customer service oriented front desk person, at least someone who will answer peoples questions. fix your reports or at least make sure diagnostic mechanics are giving accurate information. also, read the room & save the referral program spiel for after ALL services have been completed and people are leaving happy. it’s really tacky to tell someone their car is SOL and then try to get them to refer their friends.
2 stars for doing what i asked them to do (kind of) but minus 3 because i left with more questions than when i got there, no idea what to do next and like clark’s cared more about making money than they did about fixing my car.
small update: it is now 6/15 and i have not gotten any kind of extra diagnostic report or parts estimate from clark’s. i HAVE received two automated messages—one text and one email—asking if i was still having problems with my car. i unsubscribed from both. i got a second opinion from a different shop and found that a lot of the things clark’s told me to do were not 911 issues like they said. i did have to do two major things: replace the valve body in my transmission and replace my rear brakes which i did do and now my car is functioning perfectly. i have some cosmetic things to address later but internally everything is perfectly fine, an

I had a great experience with this shop! I walked in without an appointment and had my car fixed that same day. Everyone I talked to were friendly and answered my questions. I plan to go there for my next repair.

Brought my 2016 Outback in on Wednesday for a diagnostic on a mysterious clunking noise that I was hearing coming from the rear. The techs put it up in the air and inspected all the mounts, pivots, bushings, etc. Brought it down, took it for a test ride ... put it back up in the air, and looked at other things, brought it down and took it for another test ride ... pulled it back into a bay and started looking at other stuff. Finally they came and got me in the waiting room, and brought me out to show me what they found. The hood was up, and I'm thinking "Oh dear god no, not the engine. Please, not the engine."
So I ask them, "Engine?", and they said "Yep, engine. Come have a look."
Turns out one of the engine mounting bolts had rattled and vibrated its nut off, and backed out of the mount about halfway, which was causing the clunking noise. The tech tapped the bolt back in, chased the threads with a die to clean them up, and torque on a new nut. Problem solved.
Best part is when they tell me that because of the way Subaru's mounting bolts are set-up, had the bolt come completely out, the engine would have pivoted on the two side-mount bolts like a see-saw, dropping the front of the engine to the ground. If this happened at pretty much any speed, it would likely have totaled the car.
So yeah ... 5 stars. I'd give them 50 if I could..

They set up the appointment quickly, told me what they would do to which I agreed and then completed it within the stated time frame. They are always friendly and helpful.

Very timely and friendly. My daughter went to a local Toyota dealership, and she waited 3 hours for this same service. Clark’s Auto provides service that I value.

Clark’s Auto went above and beyond to get us back on the road!
When our recently purchased Subaru Outback had unexpected issues Clark’s not only got us back on the road but took on a lot of the communication with insurance and the dealer we’d purchased the car from. I primarily worked with Devon and Jessie. They were very communicative and took extra care to make a very frustrating situation as easy as possible. They quoted us a fair price and kept us informed throughout the entire process.
I’d gladly return to them for routine maintenance and other repairs in the future. Thanks again to the Clark’s crew

This place is the best. They are fast and honest. I first went to get my oil changed about a month ago and then came back for other services because I was so impressed. I definitely trust them and know they won’t try to upsell me or offer me something I don’t need. Jesse at the front will make you feel like family. 10/10 if I could give 6 stars I would.
