Literally my dream apartment. Beautiful, practical living space. I love the hard wood floors, the charming windows, the price for how much space I have is incredibly reasonable. Charming is the perfect word to describe everything about this place!

If you are looking to live within the gates of Hell, this is the apartment building for you! Don’t let the charming historical facade fool you; this building has all the amenities you could ever want. Days and days and days without hot water. Mice infestations that destroy your furniture. Cockroaches that come up through the drains if you don’t run water through them regularly. Fire alarms that go off whenever you cook, even by just opening the microwave door. Unobstructed entrance for anybody and everybody into the building either through the back door with a broken lock for MONTHS or through the ground-level windows that don’t even have locks. Up to four months of blocked kitchen drains. A boiler that is not running when it’s cold and is when it’s warm for a toasty building temperature of a mere 84-degrees. How about a toilet that forces you to sit under the sink or garage doors that would wake the dead opening at all hours?Best of all, you can expect your belongings to get stolen...even your laundry out of the washing machines and everything out of the storage units you pay to rent. And the fantastic management enables this thievery and refuses to take action due to cost. I guess the $1200 I pay each month for my under 500 square ft apartment doesn’t give them enough funds to put in REAL security cameras or non-removable screws.Oh, and expect to pay an exorbitant amount of add-on fees every month. Hey, in January, we had to pay nearly $90 for heating even though it was the hottest January on record.I love historical buildings with all their quirks, but management is a joke. Repairs take forever and are almost always done wrong.

Read your lease carefully. You will find lots of hidden charges. When you move out, you will be charged for painting and cleaning, regardless of condition or how long you lived there. Whatever the claimed rent, you will pay significantly more.Want to move out? You will be required to give a two month notice, plus give notice within the first five days of the month, so plan to give a three month notice. If you wait till your lease is nearly up to give notice, you will be charged hundreds of dollars extra per month for a month to month lease.A light fixture fell from the ceiling and broke. This was reported but never fixed. It's a shame because the apartments are very charming.

I’ve only lived here for a couple months so far, but I’m already so happy with my decision to move here! The building and apartments are so cute and charming, even though it has an old feel (which I love) it looks so new and well taken care of. The staff and maintenance are also super nice and helpful, and the location is AMAZING. I’ve lived in different places downtown and this is by far my favorite yet.

So far, so good! We moved in a short time ago and the process was made super simple and easy by TJ who addressed our concerns in a timely and professional manner. The building itself is old, so it has its quirks, but it's incredibly charming and just what we were looking for.

So far so good! Such an incredible building and location. I have only been moved in for a few weeks but I am loving it. TJ was an excellent help and worked with me over the course of a few months to help find the perfect apartment for me! Property management staff has been super great and always ready to help!

We have been here a year. It was a difference due to it being older. But being here has been amazing. The maintenance guys are what made it amazing. They were amazing and have helped with everything.

By far one of the worst experiences I had while looking for a place in Salt Lake City. The managers never gave me anything in writing then pressured me into filling out a credit card authorization to hold an apartment I hadn't even seen, wasn't allowed to see and didn't even know when it would be really available. Also every time I spoke to them there were new fees added on top of the already over valued rent for the area, but I guess the parent company AMC Apartments owns enough of the market that they think that can strongarm folks into paying too much for what they offer. I looked at another one of their apartments at another building and had no less than 30 repairs including broken windows, a stove that wouldn't plug in, peeling wallpaper and heat you could control so the place was at least 90 degrees at all times when listed as "move in ready". DO NOT RENT FROM AMC Apartments they are a huge corporation that will try anything they can to squeeze all the money they can out of you. Still haven't gotten my $350 back from the original apartment I never even saw.
