Three years ago I moved our company to St George, Utah from East Lansing, Michigan. It was during COVID and sales were down. It was very important to find a reasonably priced remote location bookkeeper to keep us on track, and to prepare our company for tax season. So grateful to the colleague who referred me to Backyard Bookkeeper! Backyard Bookkeeper cleaned up and brought to date an entire year of messy records. It is such a relief to receive accurate monthly financial statements and have transactions and bank and credit card accounts reconciled. We expanded to also add payroll services! As a solo attorney, we tend to try to do and be everything, and it is a 1,000 times better to hire experts for the things that are not your expertise and eat your time. Communication has been great and everyone has been amazing to work with: Jess, Barbara, Julie, Lois! No regrets!

Backyard Bookkeeper helped us get our accounting set up and organized as a new entity. They were professional, responsive and supportive of our mission. I'd highly recommend them to small business owners or a new entity who doesn't have budget for in house bookkeeping support. Accounting is something that should really be managed by someone qualified to avoid any issues. This group is amazing to work with!

My company and my brothers company have never been so screwed up after this company did our books. My current accountant and my friend who is an accountant said the best thing I can do is get a new qb account. Thats how messed up it is. It would take weeks to fix the problems they created and thats hoping they are reversible. Highly recommend looking for a company who actually knows what they are doing. They also tried to triple the monthly price after 8 months of doing my books. The other reviews must be friends and family. Never was I disappointed about price this is about the quality of work. I have account they applied money that have never paid. It have been a huge financial mess for us.
