I’ve been going back to 168 Auto repair for more than 5 times these years and it’s a car repair store I can always trust. They’ve been very sincere and honest and helpful. They never charge you extra, they’re trying to help you save money. I hope they always have good business.

It is hard to find honest mechanics and these guys are great! The alternator went on my car and I got not one, but TWO quotes to repair this from local auto shops in SLC over $700 for the part plus labor. 168 Auto quoted me $480 for the exact same job and the same part (I checked). They actually broke it down for me so I knew how much the authentic part cost (about $300) plus labor. I also got a quote on front brakes from another shop for $600 (which I knew was a rip off as my dad has shown me how to change front brakes and rotors before and its a quick job) and I paid $400 through them. Either way, I felt they were honest and transparent about pricing. Car is running great now and I am glad that I found this shop!

During a cross-country drive, my car was damaged by a piece of metal on the road right outside of SLC. I stopped here and asked them to evaluate the car for safety concerns before I continued the drive. I also asked for an oil change. They fit me in very promptly, and they charged me only for the oil change, not the safety check. Highly recommend.

The price was reasonable and the quality of work was amazing. I had a scratch on the back bumper they fixed it perfectly and couldn't even tell there was an accident! The owner is super nice and knowledgeable, great experience and I 100% recommend it!

You’ll save a lot of money coming here in addition to getting honest advice and quality work. They don’t have much parking space though so you have to park around the block on Richards street

Chen and Danny are amazing. Have been trusting this team for over 2 years for all my car repairs. Reasonably priced and direct advice on getting my car fixed. I suggest calling in to check their schedule before bringing your car in as they are pretty busy. Detail oriented, knowledgable, fair and exceptional customer service.
