Bought a dog bed for $7. Rang up as $22. Seems employees put xs beds in the xxs clearance space. I was in a hurry and not paying attention so I spent way more than I wanted to, but that’s what I get for not paying attention. Still, seems deceitful or sloppy of the employees.

I regularly stop at this Petco over the last few years. I’ve seen faces come and go, and I’ve seen the care quality vary. Charity & Valerie are absolutely amazing! I hope they stay with this location for a long time. If it was up to me, I’d say they deserve a higher wage because I adore them every time I stop in. They’re experienced and answer others questions well, make great conversation, and I’ve even seen improvement in the animal care. I thought of switching to online sources for feeder insects, but I honestly can’t imagine doing so now. They’re the heart of this location and they do it effortlessly.

Horrible horrible. Took my bearded dragon to their “vet” for a respiratory infection just for them to clear him and say he’s “all good” 2 days later, he died in my hands. I called Riverdale petco crying demanding answers from the vet and all I got was “sorry this happened. We can refund you but since he was in our possession during the vet visit, we aren’t obligated to tell you anything.” This was my BABY. These people DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS. THEY ARE IN IT FOR MONEY AND EXTREMELY UNDER EDUCATED. DO NOT SUPPORT. I would’ve given them -5 stars if I could.
Absolutely heartbroken.
EDIT: Just heard back from the vet. “Wasatch Hollow” and he was in fact sick, and had recommended treatments that petco all declined and then lied to me saying he had a clear bill of health. Then when I call back, they referred me to their legal team. Dirty group of individuals that run this.

Rude, lazy, don’t do their job, end up kenneling your dog for over 4 1/2 hours and don’t groom them still! Cancel appointments repeatedly but threaten you with a 48 hour cancellation policy-double standard? Dirty. The staff completely twists what you say to get out of work and then they had the manager, Debbie, call me to get my dog 4 1/2 hours later to say that the groomer, Steph, wasn’t able to get to my dog that day but she was able to bath him and he was ready to go. I was told upfront that she was running behind so to plan on no more than 4 hours. I told her he wasn’t kenneled and that he was stressed and not to use Tea Tree aka Melaleuca oil because it can kill them. She assured me that they used a lavender mist and that he would be ok and I THOUGHT we left in good vibes!!! When I arrived 10 minutes after being called by the manager 4 1/2 hours after I had dropped my baby off, I admit, I did arrived at Petco upset and demanded my dog now! I have worked in customer service my entire life and I’m not a youngin. I know how to treat people and get what I want. I could have walked out if that place without them even knowing that I had been there. But I was mad. You just messed with Mamma Bear! You just scared a defenseless animal. I am his only voice. I was told to wait for the manager, I was then told by the manager that I initially said he had allergies, I said that I did not, she went back and checked with her staff then she said she miss stated and then I was told by the manager that I threatened the groomers, I again denied such allegations, the manager then goes into the back room and changed her story again and was told that her groomers health had taken a bad turn and I had to leave the establishment, they would be referring me out, and I was no longer allowed at Petco (oh please no) or they would call the cops. I still am just trying to get my poor little baby!!! We are going on 5 hours now. MY BABY IS NOT KENNELED AT HOME, I CAN HEAR HIM CRYING!!! Yes, they still hadn’t given me my dog! It is not like me to leave a bad review but this was very, very unprofessional and very disrespectful! I can take what they did and said to me and about me but what I won’t take is people taking advantage of voiceless victims. The groomer knew my dog was under stress that morning when I dropped him off and she just didn’t want to work. She left my baby locked up instead of caring for him and getting him home 2 1/2 hours earlier. They are incompetent and inhumane, if you care at all for your pet, go elsewhere! They do not even know what type of essential oils they are using on our fur babies ?♀️. But I’m the bad guy ?. Go figure? I was trying to educate the manager on what I had said to her staff about what type of essential oil not to use on an animal when I was threatened to be thrown out of the establishment. The manager said she didn’t care, she literally means it. PETCO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ANIMALS! I guess they don’t care if they kill a few more animals along the way based on the reviews, at least that’s how I’m reading the previous review, I sure wish I had read all the reviews before putting my baby through this ? Needles to say it took most of the night to get my little one calmed down and 24 hours later he is finally getting back to himself. I can’t believe I have to take him to get him trimmed some place else, we are just going to have to trim my little yorkie for now, he doesn’t deserve anymore stress?
