DO NOT BUY OR SIGN ANYTHING WITH VIVINT! This is a horrible company. Easily the worst customer experience I’ve ever had with a service company. And then because of the horrible service, I dare you to try to cancel…???

Absolutely terrible customer service trying to get an account cancelled. I’ve been a loyal customer for years and they have made the customer service very difficult. Everything has been outsourced to Columbia. I’m very disappointed in the experience and will make sure people in my network know to avoid Vivint. It is clear why they have so many class action lawsuits against Vivint for their various wrongdoing. It is unfortunate to write a review like this.Adding an update for 3/31/24 - These are the worst people to deal with. They have found a new way to charge my credit card after the number was cancelled and changed. I will never do business with them again. They are the worst, do yourself a favor and avoid them.

Do not even bother. Horrible customer service. The company sales practice are deceiving. Ask to get an itemized statement of all the equipment and fees that you are signing up for before you sign the contract. Sales offered so many discounts and free installation and 6 free sensors only to find out that they include this fee in a $1799.99 starter kit fee. They told me that this fee if for wen people cancel your contract.Email/Call log16 Feb, Sales person Warren, guarantees a 3 week trial, then when I call to cancel I am told I am past my trial.27 Feb, Sergio requested cancellation & itemized bill of why the equipment cost $3133.835 March cancellation request denied6 March Boston - said has to do research about trial period of three weeks as this was odd, never got back12 March - no call back - Logan - said he would escalate cancellation but offered the display monitor price & stated no changes in Monitoring increase.25 March - Eliezer - Said previous talk with Logan was not elevated to supervisors, still pending new equipment finance price decrease.29 March - Patricia & Canny - stated that on a different day that I was not on the phone with Logan or Vivint that they advised that my monitoring would go up by $20 a month & then told me I got an awesome deal that they would give me $20 off for 60 months.Patricia told me that on 13 March they had a note to "advise customer that their monitoring bill will increase $20 since we downgraded in pkg. I said we did not downgrade, we paid for the display monitor.Mr. Kincaid sends me a docusign contract that shows amount financed increase and not decreased by $1200. Asked to contact me and he just sends me the same document 3 days in a row. Canny the Supervisor told me "anyway" regardless if I was not told I would have to pay $20 more for monitoring but they would give me a deal and take$20 off a month till the end of my 60 month financing.Run away from this company.

Vivint: A Nightmare of Incompetence and NegligenceMy recent experience with Vivint's customer service was nothing short of a descent into frustration and despair. In what can only be described as a masterclass in appalling service, Vivint managed to shatter any semblance of trust or reliability I had in them.Attempting to address issues with my security panel, I reached out to Vivint, hoping for a swift and effective resolution. Instead, I was met with a barrage of incompetence and indifference. Requesting to speak with a manager yielded nothing but a robotic repetition of "I'm sorry for the inconvenience," a phrase that has lost all meaning in the hands of Vivint's staff. With hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of medical equipment at stake, the urgency of my situation was clear. Yet, Vivint callously informed me that it would take an entire weekend to rectify the issue with their panel, leaving my valuable assets vulnerable and useless.Adding insult to injury, Vivint had the gall to demand a $99 fee for a technician to visit, despite my having already paid for this service days prior. This blatant attempt to squeeze even more money out of an already aggrieved customer is a testament to Vivint's disregard for basic decency. After wasting a torturous hour on the phone with Vivint, I was left with no resolution in sight. Their inability to provide even a semblance of competence, let alone empathy, is staggering and unforgivable. In conclusion, I implore anyone considering Vivint's services to steer clear. Their abysmal customer service and complete lack of regard for their customers' well-being make them a company unworthy of anyone's trust or patronage. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for your security needs.

Can’t cancel the subscription so I had to have my bank block them from charging. Now they call all the time from different phone numbers trying to get me to stay a customer. It’s funny that I couldn’t get ahold of the cancellation department at all when I called 4 times over the course of 2 months, but when Vivint wants my money, they have no problem calling me every single day with different phone numbers. This company is a scam. They are going to respond to this with “email us so we can jump on this” but they will give the same phone number I’ve been trying to cancel with and it leads no where. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They use a call center that is not based here in the US so you will never get to talk to a real person at the company. Once they get you signed up for their subscription, you will never hear from a real person at the company ever again! DON’T BUY THIS!

I have called and written Vivint *multiple times* to no avail. Someone signed up for their services using my home address - the phone associate told me to ignore it and so I did yet we keep getting bills for a stranger using my address. If I get a lien on my house due to this issue I will absolutely be filing a lawsuit.

This is a company that refused to provide me technical support over the phone to fix a defective panel. Why? Because I’m not paying the full monthly price for fire & police monitoring. They wouldn’t even let me buy a replacement panel, for the same reason. This is the worst policy I’ve ever experienced. My advice is to read their reviews and choose another security system.

They the absolute worse customer service and it’s like pulling teeth to cancel your account. They charged me four time within 24 hours even when they verified that I contacted them to request cancellation in Aug 2023 and it’s now Mar 2024. The math isn’t mathing.

The Salesman Sid was so good to work withhe was patient, and answered every question. We had talked with other security company’s but did not get the same service. The gentleman who installed the system was very polite and did an outstanding job,he went above and beyond what was required.Making sure the cameras were placed in the exact right place at the right angle.I would recommend Vivint to anyone the system is awesome ‘High Tech’ state of art and was worth every penny.Thank you Vivint ?

Read the 1 star reviews before thinking about signing up with Vivint. They all sound like my experience with Vivint as well. I formally cancelled back in September and for some reason they can't get the cancellation through their system. Every time I call, I have to spend at least 30 minutes going through the same conversations and the same department transfers. I feel like it's ground hog day every time I call. They always assure me that it will be taken care of and then a month or two later they charge me again. On top of that, they have an automated call that harasses me every day, and when I call and waste more time, the harassing calls don't stop. It's like they don't have any type of internal coordination or communication and all departments are independent with no real chain of command. They're going to respond to this review and say, "email us and we will get this taken care of." The problem is they don't take care of anything. They can't because of the way their system is designed. They don't have an actual cancellation person to talk to; they just submit some sort of electronic request from their "loyalty department" that disappears into who knows where. Vivint is a scam and I bet they make tons of money off of people either not noticing or not having the hours, days, and weeks needed to reach out and hear the exact same response every time. I have case numbers, names, dates, and all my documentation in line, and I am still being charged for services that aren't being rendered. RUN! Run far away from Vivint or YOU WILL PAY. You will pay with money, and you will pay with time.

I had the system for about 6 years, technology has come far during that time. I purched a light bulb camera and it's doing fantastic! The problem I am having is who do you have to talk to to cancel. I have been trying since December to get it disconnected. , I said that is I am told it will be done within the next 30 days, this is not exceptable and requested a supervisor and was told it would take awhile but they couldn't do it either and would be a long wait. My papers for cancelation have been returned and everyone yes they see that.. I have paid my alarm equipment in full and that has been verified as well.. I worked in a call center for over 25 years and I could disconnect right then when customers requested it be done. The reps can't do that as they say. I am at a point where I don't know if I should wind my posterior end or pat my watch. I really hope the person sees this and lives up to the promise he made. I am on a fixed income and 20.00 isn't much to some but I like to eat and this would help. I have been nice and not yell at the reps. After 6 phone calls I might start. I am a witts end and will tell everybody I know not to do this with Vivent as u can't get out of it. I am contacting Bob and attorney General. I am begging to cancel this and my Facebook friends, Instagram, any place they will let put this in every and never give a refferal to anyone.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced and their customer service reps are criminal.I have called at least twice a month for the past 8 months attempting to get a refund for inaccurate charges. I have spoken to at least four different departments who all say they processed my refund and the money will go back onto my card but nothing happens. Every time they call they won’t let me talk to a supervisor and they say they solved the issue and rush to hang up the phone.I am honestly at a loss because they tell me they owe me the money but wont give me the refund.

Vivint isn't so much a security services company as it is a gordian knot that locks you in to paying for trash equipment that they offer no support for, and trash service that's of dubious value. Total garbage company. Avoid at all costs, unless you like setting your own money on fire.
