“Changed from 1 to 4 stars (I have always liked UCCU and that is why I am still there after 37 years). It took a VP to do what the branch manager should have done in the first place (Thank you VP!) Don't ever deposit money in a jump-up (or bump) savings certificate (CD) with a non-standard time period like 22 months, because UCCU (or any CU) provides no where to jump to. They still have a 22 month offer that sits neglected at 2.37% while the fed is over 5.00% (0.17% increase for me) A 24 month CD is probably the best bet for any jump (or bump) offer. The branch manager wouldn't convert me to the current rate with only 1 year left. Good thing I did not take advice from branch personnel that there was no one to appeal to. Also thankfully, a kind VP stepped in and made it right. The solution is for UCCU to maintain all of the interest rates to accommodate past jump offers so branch personnel are not put in this position. I would have understood or been satisfied with a jump of 1.5% or greater but not 0.17%. Thanks again VP!”
