BYU student-friendly. Brought in a tire to be mounted. I was in and out within the hour and was made aware of the process in the meantime. Will be back again. Thanks Rod!

There guys were great for me. Rod helped me out and was very kind and honest with me. They really care about customer satisfaction. I came in when they seemed to be busier than normal. They could have easily turned me down service for the day because they were busy but they pushed through to service my car. So of they say they are swamped, trust them that they really are swamped and they would take you if they feasibly could

Owner was very professional and an experienced and honest man. Came in for a rounded screw and oil change and he helped me promptly. Also fair and good price for everything. Local and just did the job right. Very respectful and courteous and easy to get along with as well. 2 thumbs way up

I have a smokin’ hot review for this place! They are simply wonderful! Everyone who I talked to was so, so nice and helpful! I had a minor worry about my car after driving her across the country to attend BYU, so they looked at her for me and when they found nothing they didn’t charge me for the diagnostic!
As bonus points, it’s perfect walking distance from my dorm in Helaman Halls.
Seriously, though, these guys are so kind and thorough and helpful. I will definitely be coming back. ?

I've used Cougar Tire and Auto for different fixes maybe 3 or 4 times while at school in Provo. They always charged me an honest and competitive price, were understanding and easy to work with, prompt and timely with fixes, and did great work on every job. I only wish I started going here sooner. This is the smoothest experience I've had with a mechanic.

Update: The owners contacted me personally to discuss and correct the experience. I think it really shows their desire to make sure each client has a great experience!
Original: I think I probably had a more interesting experience than others here. I scheduled my emissions test with them online (which is great and super easy to use!) but had my test get denied saying that my check engine light didn't come on. It turned out to be a computer error, and they offered me a few retest, and I came in the next day. So what was originally was a frustrating experience was easily smoothed over. I appreciated the kindness and professionalism by the owner in our communications, and appreciated the correction.

Was visiting family in town and our car kept dying on us, so we brought it in and they were able to get diagnosis in under 20 minutes. Grateful for their free battery/alternator test, kept things low-cost and efficient. Friendly, straightforward staff and management that sincerely cares about making things right!

I wish I would’ve known about Cougar Tire & Auto years ago! It really is a gem here in Provo! They got me in so quickly for an oil change & were much more affordable than other places I’ve been to. Cougar tire & auto is a great, honest place to take your car to!

Now I see why there are so many great reviews! Chris and Caleb were of great help today. Both were great at identifying my problem with my skid plate hanging loose and helped me under 20 minutes. Didn’t even charge me and were super friendly as I was waiting. Definitely going to come back here for future services needing to be done!

Alright so this guy Chris and Cougar Tire and Auto were really good. They did not do anything before explaining very clearly what they were doing. They listen very well and deliver with a clear explanation before doing work. I would say that this is an honest mechanic. They could not be any better.
