I rarely write reviews but I’ve had enough bad experiences here that I have to. The cashiers downstairs are nice, but I dread having to go there for anything textbook related. I always check the website for rules and policies but it’s never updated with the correct info, and then the employees make you feel dumb for not knowing the info when it isn’t posted anywhere. I’ve never had a good experience with the people working the textbook counters. I have autism so even going shopping is hard for me, but the older ladies working there straight up made me cry once because they were so rude. I work in retail so I understand that customer service sucks and people are exhausting, but you don’t have to be nasty to people for no reason.

We love visiting the children’s section with our kids! They’ve got a big slide, puppets, and the of course lots of great books! And let’s not forget their chocolate/sweet shop. So fun! :)

We are super sad this sweatshirt we paid $60 for only lasted less than 4 weeks before it started getting balls on it and fading. Unfortunately, this is not the first time- I’ve had this happen to me with other sweatshirts and t shirts purchased at the BYU Store. We want to rep the Y but the quality of the clothing is absolute garbage and you have to break your back for the price. ? Walmarts selection of BYU rep is a much better quality and price. We expect better from a university apparel department. We are willing to pay the buck for the quality, but the ‘quality’ is just not cutting it.

I went to pick up a textbook, and it was the fastest and easiest process! I was able to find it and be out of there in 5 mins.

Definitely a favorite place of mine ever since I was a kid. They have cool BYU gear, fun candy, and the fudge is amazing!

I've been training Utah on vacation. I stopped in provo for 2 nights before I head back to salt lake city to fly home. I wanted to get my nefews a sports related souvenir since they love football. They had at least 5 different football s and all the t shirts sweatshirt s you could want. I bought 3 small byu football s for my nefews and they were $10 cheaper than a compriblel item I saw at Scheels.(scheels is a cool story too). The cashier was super friendly. Good options fair prices and friendly welcoming atmosphere!

Great variety of BYU items. Very clean store. The brand apparel (Nike, Champion, etc) are priced like typical retail stores. I’ve bought school supplies too.

The textbook department can be efficient in helping you find textbooks but if you buy stuff online these literally people will take days to “process” your order for books and access codes that they have in stock. Let me repeat they will take money off of your debit/credit card for 150 dollars worth of textbooks and then not give them to you. Absolutely ridiculous.

This place is overpriced. They have deals online sometimes, usually in the summer, that offer some good deals. I won't buy textbooks here. It's best to rent textbooks through Amazon or use the BYU book exchange (though sadly this may have discontinued). If you want BYU apparel, this is about the only place to get it.

I was told by a store employee that I should buy all of my textbooks and then return them for full price. Now I go to return them and they don't accept any returns for the textbooks. DON'T BUY HERE, buy on facebook or KSL.

Terrible experience. Employees are mean, lazy, incompetent, and unwilling to help in the apparel section. They also were unable to understand that the 90 day return period (3 months) does not start at the beginnning of the month, but from the day you bought an item. When I was trying to return something without a receipt, they rolled their eyes at me and said they were unable to look up the order with my card. If that is their policy, that is fair, but they did not have to be rude about it and I've never been to a store where that was not an option, so maybe they should organize their system better. For textbook pickup, the older ladies at the customer service counter treat everyone like dirt.
