These scammers! Do not rent from them. If you do, document and video record everything, including the condition of the car, the starting mileage, starting gas, etc.
They were horrible to deal with in the first place, they gave us a car that wasn’t washed and had less than a half a tank of gas. As such, we were told we can return it with any amount of gas and they will not charge us. We returned it with over a half a tank of gas and they tried to charge us for gas and vehicle body damage, which we didn’t do anything to damage the vehicle whatsoever. Best of luck if you decide to use them anyway.

The hassle I have had to deal with through this company is absolutely unacceptable. I got a one-way rental from Denver to Provo due to my flight being cancelled. Upon returning the vehicle to Provo, I used the drop box to return my keys. How convenient and easy, I thought. WRONG! My contract was not properly closed out and the car I used was re-rented (which according to the staff at this location, should not have happened.) The vehicle was then delivered in Mesa, AZ and it was there that my contract was closed. I had to provide proof that I delivered the vehicle to the Provo location because they did not have proof that I delivered it. So I sent all that information in to customer service, where they were able to figure out what went wrong. This morning I was charged $1151.40 for the vehicle because it was “extended” to Mesa, AZ. The staff at this location were zero help in this situation, and it was their error that caused this massive charge. After speaking with customer service multiple times over 3 days, my money will be refunded. But the hassle and time I have spent dealing with this matter is beyond unacceptable, this should have never happened in the first place. Get yourselves together and have better communication.

My little brother was trying to leave on his honeymoon and had prepaid for the car. They got there and got Denied for being 21 which they already paid the hefty fee for being under 25. He called the corporate office and they said it was ok if someone over 25 was the primary driver. The Provo office told the corporate office they were wrong. So my brother and his new wife didn’t have a car for their honey moon. Terrible service and liars. Don’t rent here.

WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER. I made a reservation for a SINGLE DAY rental to make a turn around trip to pick someone up from Vegas (and shared that info) and they FAILED to point out that the trim reserved wasn't unlimited mileage. The woman at the counter asked and tried to guilt me into insurance THREE TIMES but failed to mention, or point out that I would be paying for the mileage after 100 miles. That one day rental cost over $600- because they didn't bother to point out, and CIRCLE that small print when she made sure to point out/circle what was NOT COVERED because I opted out of the insurance. One small adjustment for a different trim would've saved me over $500 but she didn't THINK to offer/mention that suggestion. ??♀️ Either she was trained to just do the bare minimum, or trained to make as much possible off of each customer, or they're not paid enough to actually care about customer satisfaction!???♀️NEVER AGAIN BUDGET, I'm just ONE customer- YES, but I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW flying out of PVU NOT to go with your counter.

Beware! Elder-Abuse. My Elderly father rented a car from the Provo location. They forced him to buy the extended car coverage. They said if any damage happened to the vehicle, he could walk away with no added payment. During his trip, a teen ran their motorbike into the back of the car and caused a minor dent. He explained this upon returning the vehicle and now they are billing him $3000.00 I believe because they think he is old and will not fight back. They are taking advantage of an elderly man. Their insurance manager Katrina in Georgia keeps sending threatening emails expecting him to pay immediately. Do not ever rent from budget. In addition, do not pay for their insurance coverage as it covers nothing but Budgets pocket book.

Beto was great. This rental is right next to the baggage claims. My flight was delayed past closing time but he stayed to get us our rental. Don’t know what we would have done otherwise. He was nice and gave us clear instructions.

Not only was the staff extremely unhelpful, but they just kept adding hidden fees for everything. They charged me another $166 after returning the vehicle claiming that I still owed that amount from the initial rental, which doesn't make any sense when I'm required to pay for the days I'm borrowing when I pick up the rental. The what rental company I've ever been to. I will never rent from them again, and highly discourage anyone else from using this company as well. When I tried to call and find out why they were charging me extra money, and demanded a breakdown of what I was being charged for they hung up on me rather than giving me a bill. And despite having a reservation I had to wait an additional 2 hours before I was even helped. The team here is awful and the employees are extremely rude and dishonest.

BUYER BEWARE!!!
We were rented a defective car ( bad front tire). The front tire went flat on us. My wife and I spent 2 hours calling Emergency Roadside assistance phone #. GOOD LUCK. Nobody answered the phone. We reached someone at the Customer Service Phone # but all they could do was transfer us to Emergency #. We spoke to a supervisor at Customer Service and BEGGED him to call Emergency Roadside assistance for us and give them our phone # so they could call us back. The Supervisor said he could not do that for us.
We got the flat tire car to Big O Tire. They examined the tire and told us the tire had been previously patched (IMPROPERLY) on the sidewall. Big O told us they can not patch a sidewall leak. We ended up buying a new tire for BUDGET'S CAR.
We have filed a complaint with Budget and requested reimbursement for the tire we paid for. It has been over 2 weeks and NO ONE FROM BUDGET has contacted us to see how they could help us out. No help from anyone at Budget. If you have a problem YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This had to of been the worst rental car experience I have ever had. The employees were beyond rude and left me stranded at the airport, even though I checked in to my reservation 24 hours before to ensure a smooth rental. They gave me a dirty vehicle, and instead of cleaning it the employee said "I have training to work on so you'll have to clean it yourself". I also called the customer service line and the lady I spoke with was extremely rude, she hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager. This location is privately owned so don't count on corporate being able to help you out. I wish I would have listened to the other reviews and not rented from here.

This location provided terrible service during a recent rental. I contacted customer service, who directed me to the Ogden location, and Ms. Cragen in Ogden was terrific!! 5 stars for her. 2 stars for the rep in Provo, and corp customer service was only 2 stars as well.

Horrible place to rent. You get trapped by the cheapness of it but they can't even keep track of their own cars and come up with phantom charges that nobody ever informed us about. Never renting here again and I suggest you dont either. Getting a hold of customer service is horrible. The only hilight of the experience is that the lady that helped us was nice even though she never told us of any fees for traveling state to state. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
