i came here to get my daughters glasses and they tried to charge me double then what they originally said. the lady said it was a “mistake on their part” and a bunch of extra tax. i had talked to one of the ladies about getting my son two pairs of glasses and they said our insurance covers it. however when i went to check out the receptionist was yelling at me saying i wouldn’t be able to do it. when i was asking her simple questions she was still yelling at me. wort customer service WOULD NEVER COME HERE AGAIN.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Smith. He is not only an excellent eye-doctor, but a kind, friendly, and great person. I have been coming to this eye-doctor since I was 3. When I was a kid, I came to see him after scratching my eye, and he wanted to check on it again the next morning. So, he met us at the office on a Saturday morning, his day off, just to make sure my eye was okay. He goes above and beyond to provide his patients the best possible care, and it is clear that he loves what he does. I always enjoy going in for my yearly eye exam, because Dr. Smith somehow makes it fun. He is super friendly and kind, and always asks how my life is going, and seems to genuinely care. He is also clearly very smart and knows what he is talking about, and answers all my questions with clarity and kindness. Dr. Smith is the perfect combination of professional, funny, and kind. If you're looking for an eye doctor, you won't find a better one.

Beware of the goods they offer as a "free bonus" to your lenses, and then you get to pay the tax on the retail cost of those bonuses. If it's not illegal, it's at least shady dealings. I went there because I know they are Essilor experts, and I prefer Essilor products as part of my lenses. They had the selection of Essilor products, but at exorbitant prices, especially the Transitions products. Then, to top it off, they taxed me on the retail value of the products rather than than my insurance cost for the lenses - more than three times the tax, which I don't even know is legal, but try calling the state tax bureau to find out - nightmare! I was told that the tax was usual and customary, and that insurance doesn't pay tax on the products. It's not supposed to! Usual and customary cost for people with insurance is what the office contracted with the insurance company to charge, and that's not my problem, but oh, boy, they make it everybody's problem!! I'll bet you paid too much in tax when you were there too. Another thing they do just to get a higher rating with Essilor is add unnecessary product to each person's in-house prescription - they add a boost to the prescription for everyone so they can get the bonuses they are seeking. I've been in the office many times as another Essilor Expert (from another part of Utah), and have heard them add these unnecessary boosts to many people's prescriptions. Finally, their selection of frames is quite small - I think there are 20 frames that are less than $225, especially when insurance usually won't pay more than that. They are stealing money out of my pocket and yours.

Been going to Dr. Dave since I was 5 years old. With a server lazy eye, Dr. Dave had me doing eye exercises and tediously walked me through the whole process. Almost 20 years later I still visit Dr. Dave annually. I wouldn't have a driver's license without him.

I was so impressed with Dr. Smith. He took the time to explain the health of my eyes. He was very thorough in his exam. The prescription for my contacts is the best one I've had. I'm seeing better than ever! I attribute that to Dr. Smith taking the time to get my prescription as accurate as possible. Dr. Smith is also good with kids. My son had a great experience and was given a good education about wearing contacts and how to take care of them. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for an Optometrist that cares about his patients. The staff is also friendly and helpful!
