Been doing business with them for last couple of years, decided to go with them because other shop was bad customer service,I've bought 5 sets of tires in last two years ,this set of tires had extended warranty 3 year free replacement,well I got a flat after I ran over something had to tire off side of road so I could put on spare,I took tire in they fixed the tire but said it had been some side wall damage so I needed to watch if I had problems bring it back so about two weeks later it started too lose air I knew I had to order the tire so I stopped by, order the tire,made the appointment got there show the warranty,had less the 10,000 miles on it, they said the sidewall was bad and I shouldn't be driving on it, but it was okay for me to drive on it earlier,so they wasn't going to cover it under the warranty so no free replacement, but they dropped the price of the tire $50,but not really because that's what I paid for the extended warranty, ,my question is why did they send me home earlier with the sidewall being bad the first place safety issue and what gets this time warranty if you're not going to cover road hazard I worked in a tire shop before I would of replaced the tire under the warranty and wouldn't have customer drive on it in the first place, and it's also a matter of customer service plus knowing that you would come back and buy more tires.

After using the Big O Tire in Providence for nearly 10 years now - our small fleet of cars are going elsewhere. We have had some minor issues over the years that have been aggravating but manageable.
1. Replaced struts on a car and put the lower knuckle bolt on backwards so it sounded like the car was going to break in half with every little bump. Didn't permanently damage anything and they fixed it up.
2. As an attempt at an upsell they always take out your filters to show you how dirty they are. Last year they put the cabin air filter back in upside down. For a few weeks we thought our AC had gone out because we were getting hardly any air through - I found and fixed the problem.
3. Last month we had an alignment done on a car that was badly in need of one. They got it all within specs - but they didn't straighten the steering wheel so when you are driving in a straight line our steering wheel is now turned to the right.
Yesterday the one hour oil change estimate with a minor alignment turned into 2 1/2 hours while I watched my vehicle sit outside for more than 1 1/2 hours! Zero communication from the "team" unless I asked and it was BS answers. Then when I checkout and try to use the $25 off coupon from their own receipt booklet from a previous visit he tells me it doesn't work for what I had done today. Really? "$25 off any maintenance or mechanical service of $100 or more" doesn't work for an oil change and alignment. Apparently an oil change isn't maintenance and an alignment isn't a mechanical service. Don't worry though, he told me to hold onto the coupon.
Driving nearly 3 hours out of state just to use this shop is certainly not worth my time anymore. There used to be an awesome manager who always greeted you by name, always did the right thing, and the vibes of being trustworthy shone through. Unfortunately, he went elsewhere and apparently took this places' integrity with him!
I'm sure there will be a cookie cutter response to this review asking me to call Big O Tire so they can fix this problem. Don't waste your time - we won't be back anyway!

Sibling just went today. Only had an oil change, and told them upfront they were in a hurry and that they already knew about other problems with their car but they still took long (others getting things done that took longer and got there after were getting done before my sibling. ) and still tried to upsale them over $1,000 on the items my sibling had already told them we knew about. So in so spending more time on things we didn't need or have time for. They just needed a dang oil change! Very disappointed.

In and out with a tire repair & tire rotation within 45 minutes or so. They did it for no cost because of the tire protection plan I had purchased with the tires. Solid experience!

Alex and everyone at the Providence Big-O are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. For all my auto questions, including my C-class gasoline motorhome, I only trust Big-0. They are quick to answer questions, work through solutions to anything that comes up on any of my 4 vehicles.

Service today was really bad. I was told an hour at most for an oil change and tire rotation. It has now been a 1.5 hours and they just started. Slow service. They don’t keep you up to date on what’s happening. At the end of the day there was no customer service provided today besides a long delay and a lie.
I have been coming here for years now, but maybe I should try Discount Tire. They are just north of this location.
Super sad about the service.

I had a really good experience here! I love that you can get a quote and schedule online for tires, it really took the stress out of the whole experience.
They called me an hour after the appointment to let me know that the tires I picked out weren't available and we were quickly able to work out a different option at the same price. I really appreciated the transparency and customer service!
They also did a free alignment check and let me know they had a coupon for it if I needed it done. Again, I thought that was nice. When paying, they broke down the cost of everything on the screen for me and gave me a receipt with the alignment report.
If you hate getting work done on your car like I do, I really recommend this place. They are super helpful, don't talk down to you when you ask questions, and it was way cheaper than if I had gone somewhere else.

Needed a flat tire repaired. Called around and Big O was the only place that didn’t charge since I didn’t buy the tire there and they got me right in and out so fast. Very friendly and highly recommend!

This shop just won me as a lifetime customer. I've been going exclusively to Discount Tire for at least eight years. Today I went in and Discount after some brake squeaks. They pulled my breaks apart to look and quoted me $700 to replace my pads and rotors and do an alignment. I checked the book time and saw they were charging me almost double the labor they should've needed to do the work. I confirmed this with a mechanic in my family. I asked them to just do the alignment and they told me they couldn't because they didn't have the necessary equipment to do the alignment on a 2020 Toyota Corolla.
I called this Big O (next door) and spoke to Tyler. He got me in and they pulled apart my breaks, only for them to discover that NONE of the pads and rotors actually needed replacing right now (the front breaks were "pristine" and "beautiful" according to the tech), and quoted me almost $200 less in labor and overall part cost to get the work done when it is actually necessary because of a cool break package they have. Then they did the alignment, because they can.
I don't know these people, but I'm grateful they were around when I needed them and that they treated me with honesty and respect.
