From trying on shoes to get the right fit, to hanging in a harness to see the difference between how they feel, they will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your purchase and that your purchase is right for you. They usually have the inside scoop about the newest climbing areas in the area as well, so that’s worth asking about when you visit.Plan to spend some time just talking while you are there. Great store, great gear selection, great people.”

“Smaller than it used to be with fewer choices. Before they had 2998 shoes that I would never buy, and 2 that I love. Now, it's only about 1498 shoes that I would never buy, and 1 that I love, and 1 that I just don't like as much. It's not a diss on Famous Footwear. If I ever open my store called "Forever 39" then there will only be 3 shoe choices for men. Not 3 categories... 3 actually different kinds of shoes, and that's it. Formal, sporty, and regular-around-the-house tennis shoes. Easy peasy. But! If you want more selection than that from a store that actually exists already, Famous Footwear is the place for you. They only nag you one time per visit about whether you need help.”
