The Olpins have done services for multiple family members. Nobody does a better job than them. They are kind and personable but never pushy or intrusive. You can tell they genuinely care. They handled complicated family situations perfectly and offered solutions I didn’t even consider. I won’t consider anyone else to perform funeral services in the future because of how great of a job they have done.

Simply amazing. Thank you Paul and Ed. And the entire staff. So professional. Zero upsell, or taking advantage of a family in a vulnerable time. I can't say enough good about them

My daughter died by suicide. Olpin Mortuary did an extraordinary job from the time we first contacted them. They cautioned against an open casket but were able to prepare my daughter's body for a private family viewing that was very important to us.The day of the service we had many more people than expected. The staff was quick to set up additional chairs and make sure everyone was able to hear the service. They livestreamed it and many family members would not have otherwise been able to view the service. We had scheduling changes and even had to delay so that one of the people performing could arrive late. Paul was understanding, gracious and accommodating throughout the process. He helped make one of the worst days of our lives just a little better. We chose Olpin because we live in Pleasant Grove, but after our experience I would recommend them to anyone in the Utah County area.

Chemically sensitive individuals take caution. In brief: the staff seemed short-staffed and tone-deaf, both in regard to the abundance of medical literature detailing the harms of fragrance exposure for everyone, but also to the specific health needs of the guests that were repeatedly communicated during the set-up and service.I attended funeral services here recently. As a quick disclaimer, I'm not aware what specific information was provided to the mortuary, prior to the service, regarding the size of our group (which was substantial) or the health conditions of many of the guests in attendance. Many people in our group have autoimmune conditions, asthma, and allergies (including to chemicals and fragrances). When members of our group came early to set up, they realized there were multiple fragrance dispensers throughout the space that were strong enough the fragrance could be smelled from the parking lot. They turned off the dispeners and opened the door to let things air out before the service. The staff kept closing the doors, even after multiple family members let them know the smell was overwhelming, even for those who didn't have health issues related to or exacerbated by the fragrance. Eventually, after emphasizing their fragrance could trigger allergic reactions, asthma attacks, and fainting in those in attendance, the staff reluctantly agreed to leave the doors open for awhile before the service, but then closed them again during the service. As the fragrance began to build again, a guest opened the doors again, and unable to find a staff member, used rocks to prop open the door for fresh air. By this point, the staff seemed pretty annoyed (by the electricity bill? The rocks scraping the tile? That their synthetic fragrance was overwhelming and triggering health conditions?).As a quick aside, there did only seem to be 2 staff members on site during the whole morning, and frequently disappeared and could not be found. We also had a very large group and quickly ran out of seating. The staff also disappeared during the service, which meant that both the family members seated at the back for fresh air, and those speaking during the program had to direct/usher latecomers to the seating around the room that was available. It's my understanding that the rest of the coordination of the service and interment went smoothly. The space was clean and beautiful, and would have been well-set up for a smaller group. However, given my experience and the lack of understanding, tact, and sympathy I witnessed with other family members, I would hesitate to work with Olpin in the future. Mortuary services is a niche grief and event planning industry, and the staff here rather missed the mark in graciously and sympathetically meeting the needs of those in attendance.

Even an expected death is hard to experience and navigate. Paul, Patti and Jayden helped our family make the perfect decisions for a final time to honor our mother. They made it possible for family around the nation to be a part of the funeral through the live stream of the services. Every detail was taken care of that we requested and suggestions to help us make decisions. Being at Olpin Family Mortuary was truly coming home to Pleasant Grove. I highly recommend their services.

My family has been using Olpin Mortuary for generations. I would highly recommend them to anybody. When someone passes, and I'm asked about which funeral home we are using... it's nice to know that I can always say Olpin and ease my mind knowing that they are being taken care of by their great staff. They make things as easy as they can, and I really appreciate them. Thank you Paul and Patti so much.

Paul Olpin was so kind and loving to our family. He actually felt like one of our family members. He worked hours to make my husband look like himself. He allowed our grandson to open the door and lock and unlock the casket into place. This made Jagar feel so special. He was an honorary pall bearer who wanted to help his grandpa. He was reverent and compassionate. I can’t say enough about Olpin Family Mortuary. You will not regret using them.

Losing a father, husband, or brother is very difficult. The Olpin Mortuary Team quickly stepped in to help us when my husband passed away a few months ago. When I phoned them from the hospital, they told us what we would need to do and what they would do. They handled so many things for us.We felt their concern and were comforted in knowing they would do everything possible to pay a special tribute to our loved one.I would definitely recommend Olpin Family Mortuary to family and friends.
