To whom this may concern: I brought my year and a half miniature goldendoodle in because his appetite became suppressed, water in take lessoned, his mood changed & was concerned for a UTI or anxiety. All you seemed to care about was how much money I could spend. You mentioned all these tests you could perform but didn’t seem to have any concern as to what was actually going on with him. I even asked you what you think what could be going on with my dog as your the professional in the room. You still had no answer and still seemed to just want to run a bunch of tests. When i asked you how much it all would cost you seemed annoyed that i was even asking.
You and your tech were not gentle with my little guy as you could clearly see with his tail between his legs and shaking uncontrollably. As an example: When you took him back to try and get a urine sample my dog was pulling back cause he didn’t want to go and your tech even said “i know you don’t like me” as she tried to pick him up. You also didn’t explain everything. You literally just took or tried to take my dog and left the room with me standing there, confused.
The care and empathy you had for my dog or I was not there. I felt very uncomfortable & unwelcomed in your practice. I will not be coming back.

Dear Dr, Caplis and Stiens,
Yesterday I brought my dog Charlie, an 11 month old Great Dane in for a Gastropexy, Spay and a swollen foot with a splinter in it. I reviewed the instruction sheet yesterday with the technician/assistant when I picked Charlie up. Today I came into my living room after a work call and saw a pool of blood next to Charlie on the floor which was very alarming. She was able to get to medical equipment that appeared under the bandage and caused her to bleed. I called and was told that it was her catheter and to come back to the clinic which is 25 min each way. I am confused and frustrated as to why the catheter was left in and I wasn't informed. The sheet with instructions (attached) states nothing about me having to remove the catheter and when to do it. If I was verbally told about it yesterday I believe I would have asked for more instructions. Removing something like that is foreign to civilians not in the medical or vet worlds. For $1,800 I would expect an oversight like this to not happen. I'm writing to encourage you to include this information in writing if an animal is sent home with a catheter for their owner to remove. While things get normalized in our professions we have to remember that it's not normal for our customers and others.
When dropping off my dog and picking her up and bringing her back for the unexpected catheter removal I never saw a vet in person. Got a post surgery call for a few seconds. I would expect more for the price I paid and for the nature of the surgeries. I hope the way I was treated isn’t the norm. The above email is what I sent 2 days ago and haven’t received a response or phone call. Disappointed and bummed. I know this doesn’t change or fix what happened/my experience but sharing cause that seems that’s all I can do.

We recently moved to Park City and tried a few vets in town for our two senior bernedoodles. One of them requires a monthly injection, so we prioritize building a trusting relationship with our vet. The reception staff is warm and welcoming. Dr. Caplis is extremely thorough and caring - we appreciate his proactive approach so that we have options to consider as we face the road ahead for our girls. We highly recommend Silver Creek Animal Clinic.

Our dog, Duke, was a patient here over the years when visiting from out of town. The doctors always seemed to catch the cracked tooth, or other missed issue, that our vet back east missed. When the time came for in home final care services, timing seemed to align with being in Park City and we chose Silver Creek. Ultimately very respectful and considerate, we’re thankful for their process.

I had absolutely the worst pet care I've ever experienced at this place, I brought my dog in for vomiting, and the vet didn't even touch him. He never even looked at him. I had photos of what my dog was vomiting up, and the vet refused to look at them until the next day when I had to bring my dog back in for x-rays because he was still ill and my mother showed him the same pictures. I tried to show him the day before. At that point, he acknowledged it and came to the conclusion that some thing he saw those pictures was probably causing my dogs illness. He could've save my dog, the undue stress of having to have x-rays done and saved me couple hundred dollars if you would've just looked at the pictures and done a physical exam that we paid for the day before
