I’ve been banking with AFCU for 15yrs and never had anything but positive things to say. The bank itself is great, this branch..sub par at best.After depositing a check (that I receive 4x a year for the last 7yrs) I was informed that there would be a 10 business day hold on it. The reasoning “the branch manager (I assume) said she didn’t feel comfortable releasing the funds.” After asking why, because I’d never had this issue before, I requested the woman look back at my previously deposited checks to verify that I had indeed deposited MANY checks from this same accounts institution.Not only was the branch manager rude, she refused to look further into the matter because “she wasn’t comfortable doing that.”A day or so hold is understandable, a 10 day hold seems like a power trip for the manager.

Truly your neighborhood branch. We have banked at the AFCU Park City branch for decades and they have never failed to deliver and are just the nicest, most decent, group of people. Bank here, you will never regret it.

This place feels very sad every time I go here.It has all the inconvenience of drive through, and you get to park and go in like a regular bank.I feel worse for the tellers than anybody else. They are locked in a back room talking at a screen. The customer also stares at a screen. It feels like you are at prison visiting someone.I would give it 1 star, but there are no other America first credit unions anywhere close.

I am very thankful with CASEY HORNE. He went above and beyond to help us get our cashier’s check and open a new account. CASEY was extremely patient and dedicated and took the time to explain everything thoroughly even though it was his lunchtime. CASEY is an excellent banker, I will continue doing business at AMFCU Park City.

I have used and loved America first, since I first moved to Utah nearly 20 years ago. Of all the branches I've been to, this one seems a little bit weird... The tellers, are behind a video screen, and it doesn't feel as personal when you're talking to someone and trying to withdraw money or ask questions. They are still friendly, it just doesn't feel as great when they're behind the video. Luckily, they have a great ATM which is what I just generally end up using.

Ever since I opened my Retail Shop & Personal Accounts in 2006 I have had Good, Friendly, Neighborly, and Professional Service. The Managers & Staff have always been Great to work with. Your Money is Yours & Minimal Fees. The Hours & the Security of being in The Market at Park City work well with my Shop hours.

Great car loan rate, so I opened an account to buy my last car. I had a paycheck last week that was over $10,000 so I couldn't deposit it on my phone (over the limit). I took it to AFCU to deposit so I could then transfer it to my main checking account at USAA. They acted like I was committed check fraud and sent me on a run around in Park City to confirm the account was legit at Key Bank, where the payroll check was written from. After I went in person and verified the account was open and active (have you ever heard of this before??) they still put a seven day hold on it, which I thought would be removed when it cleared the next day. It wasn't removed, so when I transferred the money out I got hit with all sorts of fees. It'll cost me $75 to deposit a check here, so glad I can deposit most checks on my phone and not have to deal with garbage service like this on a bi-weekly basis. Because I had one little tiny account here to pay a car loan they treated me like a fraudster, I'm sure if my main banking accounts were there I would have been treated much differently. The teller claims she told me about the hold and I should not have moved my money. There must have been some mis-communication, but either way there shouldn't have a week long hold on funds written from an ADP account that I personally went and verified at the issuing bank. To the best of my knowledge it's only the biggest payroll company in the WORLD... The car loan was a good rate and easy to get done so I gave two stars, otherwise it would be one. Let's hope I don't have to deposit any more checks here! UPDATE: With the returned funds on my account my main bank has now shut down my mobile deposits and external transfers and won't reinstate those for 6 months. AFCU has caused me more banking headache in two weeks than I've ever had in my entire life.
